Actually friendly bike people. These genuine and kind shop keeps went out of there way multiple times to get me my bridge club. I can’t recommend this shop enough. Stop by just to see what they have or to chew the fat, you won’t be disappointed.

I came in frustrated with a popped inner tube and messed up tire. Sammy was incredible, they broke down the problem based on my budget, patiently explained pros/cons of the tire choices, and gave me their professional opinion. I had picked out a water bottle holder, and while replacing the tire, Sammy noticed it wouldn't work for my bike, so they removed it from my purchase and suggested great alternatives. I had my bike back in tip top shape within the hour, with a new snack/water bag!
Joe Bike is a great shop with exactly what you need in a range of prices, knowledgeable and helpful staff, and convenient location on a lovely green way. Thanks for being there for me today, Joe Bike and Sammy!

Had an awful scratching sound on my rear brakes. Took it into Joe's and Anders diagnosed the problem. An imbedded aluminum scrap in the brake pad! How it got there? Who knows. Anders was extremely thorough in diagnosing and replacing my pads. I can't say enough of how professional and courteous he was. I will be back for any repairs.

This shop rules. I’m back to biking after a couple decades away and these folks were happy to help me through the process (and didn’t make me feel like an idiot). Didn’t try to upsell me on things I didn’t need. Just hooked me up with a great bike and told me to have fun. Highly, highly recommended from new biker.

Thomas helped me a restore an old Surly Ogre that is now outfitted for touring/bikepacking and I couldn't be happier with the results...the bike turned out amazing! It was a pleasure working with this shop and I will definitely be returning to them for my next build.

Love these people! They built my Marin Headlander last year and she finally needed a tune-up. No joke my bike ran so much smoother that my next days' commute was 3 minutes faster! Shoulda brought her in sooner. THREE MINUTES! They are prompt, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend for all ages and levels of bike enthusiasts.

I don't like giving negative reviews, and overall this bike shop seems pretty solid. I only speak in terms of my own experience as a potential customer. I wanted a specific bike rack, and did some research online. I came across one store that ended up saying that it has it in stock. This store was this Joe Bike store. I was coming from a long way on bike, so I called just to be sure that they had it. They "confirmed" that they had it in stock. So I packed my things and made the trek out there. I was excited to get this rack because I've been riding with a backpack for a long time, and it wears down my back and shoulders. (Precisely why I wanted this rack to begin with.) Anyway, I got there and they seem to have a lot there. But I asked him if he had the rack, and again he said he did and he went to the back to find it. I waited about 5 minutes or so, and he came back out and told me that they actually didn't have it, and that "the inventory sometimes lies." Which wasn't a good excuse. When people call ahead of time, it's expected of you to actually PHYSICALLY check to see if the item in question is in stock. It was a pretty disappointing and frustrating experience. And because of it, I'll probably stick with the plethora of other bike shops in the area instead of this place. It'd be one thing if you ended up selling it before I got there, but to have it not be in stock and to not know because someone didn't update the inventory is unprofessional. And with that being said, for the love of all that is holy, UPDATE YOUR INVENTORY before you end up disappointing future customers. I just checked online and it still says you have them in stock. Overall it was a crummy experience. The bike ride through Portland was beautiful though.

I went in to Joe Bike because my crank shaft had come loose and I didn't have an Allen key large enough to tighten it myself. Not only did they condescend to me the whole time but they charged me 7 dollars for the absolute easiest process without telling me the cost of the job beforehand. Any halfway decent bike shop should help you for free or at least let you know that they charge 7 dollars for a minute and an Allen key.
