“I went to Kassab Jewelers in downtown Portland for my fiancé’s engagement ring. Kassab had cuts of diamonds that I hadn’t found while researching other jewelers. From the beginning the experience was wonderful. Sandra was so helpful, she showed me a couple different cuts of the diamond style I liked, then through her expertise she helped me find the perfect setting for the diamond I chose. She was very communicative and kind throughout the entire process, and apart from her creative direction still made me feel that what I was buying was fairly priced, authentic, and one of a kind. I’ll be going to Kassab’s for all my diamond and jewelry needs. It’s been a Portland staple since 1975, and after my experience I can see why.”

“The two people at the front counter were so kind, genuine, and welcoming. Colter did the nostril piercing and was so nice and explained each step of the process. As someone who didn’t have any piercings my biggest anxiety going in was the atmosphere-afraid it would be intimidating. And that was not the case. Very cozy, welcoming, and chill.”
“This store is truly a gem! The owner, and all the folks that work here are knowledgeable, authentic, kind, and very helpful. My husband purchased my 1910 engagement ring, and 1920s wedding band here in 2010. Since then, I have continued to depend on them for my antique jewelry desires and repairs. And they have always taken extremely good care of me, and my treasured pieces.”

“This place is rad. We bring all of our friends and family here when they come to visit. It's always one stop amongst the Portland weird and it feels like a staple to us and our circle at this point.
There is a lot of taxidermy and that may not be up everyone's alley, but even so there is plenty of art adjacent or diagonal to that space that you just are not aware of.
They have partnered up with several artists that they have in that shop that do incredibly interesting things with their displays. I'm being cautious not to give you much away and being intentionally vague.
They also have geodes you can buy and break, other minerals, plants, and other gifts.
I think it's a very special place to visit.”

They will inspect your watches and clocks no charge, and they do that right in front of you when they open them up to look at them before they do anything else.
