I stayed at Hyatt House in Portland and loved it. The suites are spacious with fully equipped kitchens, making it easy to save money by cooking like you're at home. The hotel's amenities were great, and its central location made exploring the city a breeze. I especially enjoyed nearby activities like riding bikes or scooters, exploring the streets, and taking walks by the river. Regarding the room service I think you have to request it in advanceRooms: Usually spacious and cleanWalkability: There are restaurants, bars and other business nearby

My gf and I just stayed here for our trip to Portland and I would def recommend this place / come back in the future. The staff were nice and very accommodating. The breakfast every morning was very convenient & the food staff were kind and even boxed up food for us. Location is great with easy access to the streetcar and some great food places nearby. Felt safe the entire time we were here.

Excellent stay so far. Room 230 is where it’s at. A short walk to the upper patio with fire places. And probably the best view of the patio garden with the mountain in the background???? go Beavs

Had a great experience as always with Hyatt House. Location was great, so was the breakfast. Friendly staff at front desk and valet. The rooms were a bit dated compared to other Hyatt properties - I hope they upgrade. Overall we enjoyed our stayRooms: Room we stayed in was a bit dated compared to other Hyatt House properties.

I had a very poor experience in this hotel. Breakfast - goodRooms - OkValet - poor. If you want night out experience and coming back after 11 PM there won’t be any valet and you need to try luck finding parking somewhere outside although they will charge valet coz you opted for it.Also they won’t allow you to park right outside hotel.I come to Portland for nigh out. Not sure if someone calls it’s a 3 star. Stayed in many hotels in Portland and elsewhere but never heard this before . Sorry, Never coming back here again.

They are truly amazingWalkability: Walk along the river and taking the beautiful sightsFood & drinks: Decent bar and meals, well stocked breakfast buffet

I’m not sure how this hotel gets such high reviews. Our King room was enormous but the tv was so far away from the bed it was laughable. Room was pretty dated for a newer looking building along the river. The absolute worst was breakfast. We have eaten enough buffet hotel breakfasts to keep our expectations extremely low. It may have been the worst we’ve attempted to consume. Not sure how it gets better reviews than The Porter as we found that hotel superior in every way except location being a few more blocks away from the waterfront.

My extended stay at the Hyatt House Portland Downtown has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I checked in, I was impressed by the quality of the accommodations and the level of service. The room I was provided with was not only nice and clean but also incredibly comfortable, thanks to the cozy bed that made me feel right at home. The well-rounded experience continued with the breakfast, which was not just good but great, offering a variety of options to start the day right. However, as I'll be staying here for three months, one minor point of feedback is that I do wish I could have a room with a view. Gazing out at the back yard can become repetitive, and a room with a view would enhance the experience. What truly stands out is the remarkable customer service. The entire staff at this establishment is incredibly kind and accommodating. Although I couldn't recall everyone's name, a few individuals left a lasting impression. Cody, KJ, and Noel, if I remember their names correctly, have consistently gone above and beyond to ensure that my stay is as enjoyable as possible. Their friendliness and professionalism are truly commendable.Lynn, who assisted me with my booking, also deserves recognition for making the process smooth and stress-free.I have the privilege of staying here for three months until the end of the year due to work, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. This extended stay has been made not just comfortable but enjoyable, thanks to the wonderful staff and the overall excellence of the Hyatt House Portland Downtown. I look forward to the remainder of my stay with confidence that it will be just as delightful as it has been so far.

Very nice hotel within 3 blocks of the river. Lots of cool restaurants within easy walking distance. Price was great, service was perfect. Great choices on the complimentary breakfast. Very nice window view of the river.

Valet parking only and of course extra charges. Although pet friendly no area close for pet to take care of business. Difficult especially late at night. The room was clean and set up nicely. The only drawback was the he AC compressor made loud humming noise thru out the night.

My first night here, when I got into the shower for the first time, I had to remove a wad of hair that must have been from the previous stay. The "comforter" on the bed is as thin as a cloth napkin. I looked around the room for a real blanket, but there wasn't one. I heard loud thumps and walking above my ceiling for hours on end when I just wanted peace and quiet.

Stayed here for 5 nights in September and are so glad we chose Hyatt House for our stay in Portland. We got a regular king room with a pullout and enjoyed the fridge and microwave in the room as we often had leftovers and it was great being able to reheat them. The hotel has a street car station right in front and easy walks to nearby bus and light rail stations. It's also very easy to call and get dropped off by Uber to the front of the lobby doors. The H Bar and H Market were amenities we didn't think we would use but we were tired from hiking one night and were surprised by how reasonably priced the food and drinks were here. The bartender at the H Bar was great at making conversation and recommending local places for us to check out. Sadly, I didn't get his name but I hope he knows he was awesome! I'm taking off a star because when we checked in our rooms the shower of the bathroom didn't seem clean and has a really strong musty smell. It also didn't seem like they don't clean rooms in-between guests thoroughly as there were half-full water bottles under the desk in our room as well. We had to wait until next day to get our room cleaned as by the time we notified the front they let us know the housekeepers were already out for the day.

Haven't stayed here. I live right across the street and go here often for candy, their burger at the bar, and/or some drinks after work. I love Jessica the bartender. There is one other bartender I believe who I've met once. He seems nice as well. Clean spot. Open and chill vibes. Right on the S waterfront.

The staff here is the most accommodating hotel staff I have ever met. They make me feel like I am a member of their family coming to visit rather than just a hotel guest. The location is safer than many other areas in Portland and there is a lovely walking area along the river.Highly recommend this location for a stay in Portland
