Due to some circumstances, I went to exchange my car. Each person in charge at the site was kind to me, but the Indian man who appeared to be the manager was very coercive and had a very commanding attitude that made me very uncomfortable.

Returned a week long rental on 10/2 to PDX Hertz facility and was checked in/greeted by J. Sosna. He was very outgoing, courteous and helpful. I've been renting from Hertz for over 25 years and found him to be an outstanding Hertz representative. Hang on to him!

Made reservation at $53/day and when I exit the lot from picking up the car, found they were trying to charge $250/day.

The initial experience upon arrival left much to be desired. Despite having a reservation for weeks advance, I was told they wouldn’t have a car ready for 4+ hours. We decided to Uber to our hotel and try again the next day.
When we arrived the next day, the situation had improved. We were quickly seen at the counter and given our car. Getting out of the rental lot is pretty seamless so we were on our way quickly. Drop off was also as simple as possible with a Hertz worker on hand to check the car in.

Not happy at all. Have been trying to call someone at the Portland AIrport Hertz with no answer and the vmail is full. Is this really how yuo run a business
I would like to talk with someone. We still have the rental but need to talk to someone

Literally zero cars available in the president’s circle and very slim pickings in the gold area. Next time, will definitely use a different company

From the moment we step foot into the building it was nothing but a hassle. We called ahead to make sure we could use a debit card for local rental, the people behind the counter said no, had to go home & get credit card. First vehicle they tried renting out was actually on a do not rent list, had to wait for another vehicle then it was filthy. They gave a small credit when we returned the car but then charged fuel even though we brought it back with full tank. Will never rent from them again

Nina at the Hertz counter at the Portland airport was the rudest, most condescending customer service representative I have ever spoken to - we typically have excellent experiences with Hertz across the board and they typically provide excellent customer service - Nina was unwilling to provide the information we were asking for , was unwilling to help, and was outwardly condescending, unhelpful, and rude for no reason. The recent negative reviews about Hertz at PDX sound exactly like the treatment we received from Nina at Hertz. Will never rent from Hertz again at this airport.

Never renting from Hertz again. Had the same experience as everyone else. Complete fraud. We were charged an extra day, extra for gas, an upgrade, and roadside without being told; when we asked them about it, they acted like we were the unreasonable ones. Scammers.

When you have a reservation but still need to wait over an hour for the car, while the attendant tries to make you upgrade for 'quicker' exit, while pushing pricey options without being clear and honest about the options - you should rent with a different company.

Nina and her manager were both absolutely wonderful to deal with at portland airport. Despite a rocky start the day prior with different member of staff which was sorted upon return, Nina provided and excellent service with a cheery dispostion and in professional manner. We can't thank her enough for her patience, understanding and kindness!
