“Joe helped me out with a single nylon washer. My hand controls on my Van came apart while I was driving. When they were put back together a nylon washer was left out making it hard to push the brakes. Not only did Joe install the washer for me, he also loaded my wheelchair up. Our Country could use more Joe’s like the one that works here.”

Employees took the time to ask what I needed and had extensive knowledge on the products they were selling, and made appropriate recommendations (without trying to push or "upsell"). In a way, they knew what I needed better than I did. Their products were higher quality than some of the junk you normally find in big box hardware stores. This will be my go-to place in the future.”

“I had an LED light for my houseplants that suddenly stopped working. I brought it in to see if they could fix it.They were super knowledgeable and friendly and figured out what was wrong with it. I just needed to replace the AC adaptor cable. They didnt sell it there but told me where I could find it. Also didnt charge me a dime! 10/10 will go there again. I've been to this location several times before and the staff has always been very knowledgable and willing to go the extra mile to help me get my project done.”

“I've had several positive experiences here. I've worked with a guy named Dathan a few times and he's terrific. One time he spent fifteen minutes with me helping me find the right .21 cent screw for a manual coffee grinder I was trying to fix. That's the thing about this place - it's got the stuff, and it's also got the staff who are happy to help figure out which stuff to get and how to use it.”

“This store is underrated. It is well run. It is always well organized, tidy, well stocked, and as everyone has come to expect, well priced. Whoever does the inventory selection for this store is doing a fantastic job. This store understands its target market. I find stuff here that I cannot find at either an auto parts store or a home improvement chain. Also, the workers here are friendly and useful. So after multiple visits, this store gets 5 stars. A note to management: keep up the good work.”

“Thanks for being a local company that supplies furnace parts. My furnace wasn't working properly and I had three separate repair companies come and evaluate it. None of them completely diagnosed it correctly or fixed it. I ended up buying a flame sensor and igniter and fixed it myself. Thanks!”
“Winks is the best hardware store in the city. 5 stars every time but once, and I write this only so Winks can know and improve: i needed one stainless steel screw for a piece of hardware they sell. I went in to buy it, grabbed the door hardware sample they have on display and was able to point to the exact screw i needed. But for some reason they refused to back it out even the tiniest bit to match the screw. It was very weird and unusual for such an awesome and helpful store. They sold me to wrong screw three times that week. I eventually had the right diameter and threading but still too long and had to hacksaw it down at home to make it fit.By far the best hardware store in the city in terms of selection (for what they sell), quality, knowledge, and customer service. Just that one weird experience that felt like I was in the twilight zone.”

“100/10 experience. We went in for some knobs to replace a couple cruddy ones on furniture. Left fantasizing about remodeling a home with my wife. Absolutely beautiful vintage everything from porcelain sinks to doors, knobs, light fixtures, glass, antique door locks and so much more. You could absolutely get lost in here (we sure did). A couple things need some elbow grease to get polished up but the patina is beautiful and authentic, everything is priced very well, and I felt like my creative gears were really grinding when we left. They even made sure we had the right size screws for what we needed. I'm truly excited to go back.”

I was so appreciative and impressed by a fellow that knew quite a bit about lawn care… even to the point that he knew not to sell me fertilizer with phosphorus (not necessary/reduces nutrient pollution).
