It's an excellent spot for snacks and to try Asian products. But their New York steak was not good :(

4 out of 5 stars because parking is horrible. However, the produce, variety of stock, and deli are worth the hassle (most days)

Great variety of foods and fresh produce. Variety of ingredients and snacks you won't find at typical grocery stores. I'm always grabbing something hot and ready at the deli when I'm on the go!

Great selection of Asian food and fresh vegetables. You can also get Ota tofu which is amazing! Good place to get all types of Asian sauces.

Not the highest cuisine. Fried rice was not good at all. Otherwise, cute items.

What an amazing store!
Portland is no stranger to Asian markets, but H Mart really has set the standard when it comes to making a non Western grocery store easy to navigate, and approachable. They may not be the most diverse when it comes to fruits and vegetables, but in almost every other category they carry, the options are some of the best in their category. There's also a nice selection of cookware that is really helpful when you need something affordable but functional. I like to grab a bowl of bulgogi and a single serve sake and enjoy a simple meal in their seating area, then go shopping. I love radish kimchi, and they had several for me to choose from. This store is quickly becoming one of my favorite food shopping destinations. I recommend going with at least 1-2 recipes worth of specialty ingredients on your list, and then grab a couple of extra items that peak your interest but may not have a clue how you would use them. I'll find recipes online for my latest experimental purchase, and it's never failed me.
