My neighborhood goodwill might be small but has a pretty good selection of clothing and household items. I've found real bargains there and the prices are more than fair. You might have to do more searching or come in on multiple different days to find exactly what you're looking for, but it is totally worth it instead of paying the markup on new items.

Have been going here for 6 years. In the past two weeks the prices have skyrocketed. An example is an old garmin GPS, which nobody uses anymore. They wanted $25 for it. Prices way high than eBay, it’s not the same as it was.

Been going for years and been a fan, but it's gone very far downhill. Prices higher than eBay, misrepresenting value on certain items (print out showing a $2800 clock, which in fact sells for just a few hundred dollars on eBay). Now they aren't accepting returns on their untested electronics, which they are selling at above market value, as well.
Used to have good stuff, now it feels like they're hustling the customers.

Been in and out of here a few times the last couple months. Always been a good experience. Decent prices, especially compared to other good wills in the area. It's clean and the staff works hard to keep everything running smoothly. I've done a few returns on clothing and the cashiers/mangers have all been pleasant to do business with.

PRICES ARE WAY TOO HIGH! And this review is for all Goodwill Stores of the Columbia Willamette. A THRIFT store should have thrift store prices. I understand that there are some rare things people get rid of that are collectable and should be priced accordingly. But most people in the areas these stores operate shop here because they are LOW INCOME. Please remember this and lower the prices. And have the employees pay attention to the items they are pricing 2.99 for something that was a dollar tree item? Also isn't it funny that if the color of the week is let say "yellow" there is absolutely no yellow to be found? It's because the employees are instructed the night before a color change to run through the store and find as a team all the whatever color it's going to change to and bring it to the production area to be repriced. They have goo-gone and a scraper at each pricing station just for this purpose.

This is my “go to” Goodwill spot in Portland— I’m hesitant to share my favorite treasure, but the staff are so friendly, they deserve the credit!
I always leave here with at least several goodies, whether it’s clothing or household items. It’s very clean, lots of name brands and fair prices.
Fitting rooms are closed, but you can return items for store credit. My advice is to wear leggings and easy to slip on/off shoes for trying stuff on in the aisles, if you’d really like.

I enjoy shopping at this location, even though it isn’t a superstore I usually find treasures. The staff have all been kind and the store is clean and organized. The fitting rooms are permanently closed here but they allow you to try on clothes over your clothes in the hallway. I usually wear leggings and a small t-shirt so I can more easily try on clothes on top of them.

How can a store that has mostly clothing and a no cash refund policy justify not having a fitting room? The fact that the signage uses covid as an excuse is just irritating considering all other factors show no concern for it at this point. I'd like this location, but shopping all around only to find that I can't try it on is a deal breaker for sure

Location 9015 S.E.Powell, Portland OR 97266invoice # 30689002.I recently visited the Goodwill store with my daughter, hoping for a pleasant shopping experience. Unfortunately, what we encountered was nothing short of disappointment, embarrassment, and a blatant lack of respect from the employees. I feel compelled to share my frustrating experience and caution others before considering shopping at this location.Upon entering the store, my daughter and I were immediately met with judgment and stereotyping from the employees. It was clear that they made assumptions about us based on our appearance, which is both unfair and unacceptable. We were treated as if we did not belong there, and this prejudiced treatment made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable from the start. To make matters worse, when my daughter requested to use the fitting room to try on some clothes, we were shockingly denied access. The employees' reasoning for this refusal was never adequately explained, leaving us to feel humiliated and disrespected. Instead, we were forced to try on clothes in the middle of the store, where other customers could see us. This was an embarrassing and uncomfortable experience, especially for my daughter, who deserved privacy and dignity while trying on clothes.Despite the distressing treatment we received, we decided to proceed with our shopping, hoping that the employees' behavior would improve. Regrettably, this was not the case. Throughout our time in the store, we felt as if we were being watched and monitored, as if our every move was being scrutinized. The employees' lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was evident, and it left a sour taste in our mouths.Despite the disrespectful treatment and the negative atmosphere, I ended up purchasing items totaling $130.00, solely because I genuinely needed the items and wanted to support the Goodwill mission. However, I left the store feeling deeply disappointed and disheartened by the entire experience. It is truly dismaying to witness such behavior from a store that is supposed to promote goodwill and inclusivity. Stereotyping customers, denying access to fitting rooms, and subjecting them to public scrutiny is not only disrespectful but also an infringement upon their rights as paying customers.I sincerely hope that Goodwill takes this review seriously and addresses the issues we encountered. No customer should ever be made to feel unwelcome or embarrassed while shopping. It is my fervent wish that changes are implemented to ensure that all customers, regardless of their appearance, are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. In conclusion, I regretfully advise potential customers to exercise caution when considering shopping at this particular Goodwill location. The lack of professionalism, unfair stereotyping, and disrespectful treatment we experienced were deeply disappointing and should not be tolerated. Goodwill needs to reevaluate its customer service practices and ensure that every customer is treated fairly and respectfully.
