Best prices in town! Please support this business. This guy charged me $20 for the nuts and bolts I needed. At home depot same order would have been over $100. Crazy how affordable this place is!

This is a fastener store of the type that used to be everywhere in Portland, but which doesn't much exist any longer. If you recall Wymer's on Union from 40+ years ago, or Winks in their old building downtown on the westside 30+ years ago, or Wichita Hardware on Johnson Creek 30+ years ago, or Parkrose Hardware 30+ years ago, then you will have some idea of what to expect at General Threaded. I go here because they have a lot of fasteners, and also for the conversation. Proprietor Gordie has a wide range of interests, including International Harvester trucks, pre-electric phonographs, wood stoves, and lots of other old stuff. I never seem to be able to get in and out in less than 30 minutes. His family has been working here for decades, so when you shop there, you will be supporting our local economy. I recommend him before trying anywhere else first.

Gordy is the ?.If these guys don't have the fasteners you're looking for, I can't imagine who does.Apparently they also have vintage cast iron stoves, record players, and a jumbo church bell? 10/10 would visit again.

Great place to buy your nuts, bolts and washers. Gordy is always very helpful and makes your experience a genuine pleasure. Lots of neat things to look at while you are waiting. Don't forget to ring the bell for service ?
