I visit many GameStop stores frequently. This was easily the most unwelcoming and cold store I've been to. I got the normal can we help you with anything up on walking in. I looked at a couple Xbox games and walked over to the PS3 section and picked up a couple games opened the cases to check for manuals as I prefer to have them. Upon closing a game I immediately got a can we help you with anything a bit more assertive this time around after saying no I'm just looking and moving onto the Wii section an employee jumped out from the counter and grabbed the game I just picked up making me feel rather uncomfortable. Almost as if the can we help you with anything was an accusation of stealing. Easily one of the worst times being in a GameStop bar none.

Terrible service, rude, dismissive, and wouldn’t even look at me for the trouble. Go to another store if you can.

I don't normally write reviews. This Gamestop is close to where I live so it's normally my go-to. Has been a solid place throughout the years, but my recent experience today annoyed me.
Swung by to pick up a game that I've been eyeing for a while. The game was available, simple enough. What should have been a simple transaction turned into a long five minutes of me standing there listening to a sales pitch that I wasn't interested in.
I get that the associates have to pitch the GameStop rewards program. But pitching it once, maybe even twice, should have sufficed. This person went on about five times, and each time I would have to politely decline. Towards the end of the transaction, the person essentially shamed me for not opting into the program because the data shows that I would have saved an astounding $6 for the year. Really wanting to end this miserable interaction, I tried to pay for my game ASAP and hit the "price looks good" button on the card reader... Except in the back of my mind, I was asking myself, "When did Oregon have a sales tax?"
In the midst of listening to this person go on and on about the Gamestop rewards program, they quietly tacked on a $3.99 game warranty for me. Without my consent. But because I wanted to end the conversation asap, I just hit the green confirmation button. Of course, I know if I ever brought this up to that person, I'm sure they would counter with "Oh, well by hitting the green button, you confirmed that the price was good! Can't complain about that, you idiot!" Heh, guess I'm the fool here. Maybe I should have accepted the membership cost of $20 per year so that I could have saved $6 to offset the quiet $3.99 warranty charge.
The store itself isn't bad. It's a small place like most Gamestops. It's usually pretty clean. However, this interaction made me question my relationship with Gamestop. The store associate I worked with today did NOT lend to a pleasant experience. At the very least, if I ever see this person in the store, I do not plan on conducting business with them. And I hope to whoever reads this, you might as well drop me a thumbs up. Because that's a good consolation prize for the real possibility that this associate is going to reach out to my cell phone (without my consent) to tell me I'm wrong. Seriously, this person had that energy. So by writing this review I am risking my own safety.
(And if you are the associate that happens to be reading this, please notice that I have not identified you in anyway. I would have enjoyed the transaction if you weren't pushy and shaming me for declining something I've been able to live without my whole life. I humbly ask you in advance, please leave me alone.)

My husband came in today, looking for knobs for his controller. And he went up to ask one of the employees who was female with a dark polo and dark shorts and she was so snarky and treated him like some scrub that just came off the sidewalk trying to steal some thing. I understand it’s rough out here but she brushed him off even after he asked how her day was going. He waited for another employee to come out of the back get help because he insisted on making sure that she knew that he wasn’t going to steal And that employee was more than helpful. With the advice that he needed. Even after that, she rolled her eyes and acted like she was above everybody. So if you see a female working there that’s short, I wouldn’t ask her for any opinions because she will not give you any. I understand It does suck to work, But you’re getting paid to help people. Being rude isn’t gonna get you anywhere in life and that’s probably why you’re still working at GameStop. I’m actually even surprised that GameStop hired her. With that kind of attitude she needs to go work at McDonald’s. Don’t judge a book by its cover. And also you seriously need to take. How is your day and at least respond saying how your day is. because I bet when you read this review, your day is not gonna be that great. And to the employee who helped him even though it looks like you were busy You deserve a raise and also thank you for helping my husband. Even though it’s just knobs for his controller.

I had a couple extra games from awhile ago so I was going to trade them in. The employees were not friendly not fast and not helpful. They even deducted some of the cash I was getting cause something was defective… there was sticker glue on the product. Was crazy to me!

Amazing employees. Always friendly. Feels like an old school hangout. Just a great gamestop.Area is dangeroys..try to park right in front if store and look around when leaving with a purchase. If you do any craigslist business..dont do it in front of this store as people use it as a set up to rob you.

I usually don’t write reviews but avoid this place like the plague, your better off going to Fred Meyers next door. Bought a copy of the new call of duty which was brand new and unopened. Decided I no longer wanted it and would return it a few days after I got it. Went to the store and the person working behind the counter gave me an attitude and said that I couldn’t return my unopened game then she proceeded to tell me that the last associate Anna was supposed to tell me that all sales are final which is the exact opposite of what the receipt says and what she had told me. Definitely wasn’t like that beforehand when I use to shop there frequently. Reason I shopped there to begin with is to support the dying company but won’t anymore because the employees are clueless. Went to a different location and returned it where the employee knew what they were doing. I’ll be rejoicing when they close doors at gateway.

Horrible customer service, spoke to someone named Blair. Called to ask simple questions about canceling an online order my daughter placed. Blair quickly became rude and just hung up.

Workers here don't seem very enthusiastic to work, was turned away from trading in because it was too close to close to do so. The store was empty and they store didn't close for another hour. Won't return to this store.

11-18-23 11:30am Today went in to buy the new Mario RPG. I asked the lady if I could buy it and she gave the biggest attitude. It was like I was inconveniencing her. Then I would say thank you twice, nothing. I'm done coming here anymore.
