As a neighborhood gym they don't care much for the neighbors who live up and down the street or around the block they- run and yell and tell loudly at 6am throwing weights around.

The best gym I've ever been to. From Day one I felt comfortable, and I'm not a gym-rat. The trainers are completely accepting, everyone is welcome. They all care and show their personality while keeping us on track with the Matrix system. It is a solid place to work hard, have fun and build health. The fitness system here helps prevent injuries while building strength, balance and stamina. At 57 I am in better shape than I have been in since high school, (and I plan on going past that)!

The variety of exercises keep me motivated! The team is great, their app is easy to schedule classes, and overall it's been such a positive experience with Fulcrum Fitness. Even in group classes the instructors help you achieve your most optimal workout!

Fulcrum Fitness is great! I felt comfortable as a newbie to this type of workout (more functional fitness vs. isolation exercises or strictly cardio) when I joined the gym several months ago. The FitPro's are awesome and always have your safety in mind. For folx looking for something different than the traditional weight lifting or group fitness class, Fulcrum is the place for you!

Super inclusive space! I joined last year after falling into serious disrepair during the pandemic and I’ve gotten so much stronger without being injured. No body talk and tons of support from trainers and other regulars!

I have attended Fulcrum Fitness at Hawthorne for about 2 years. Pros: Staff - I think that staff are the most important element of group fitness classes. I have had a great time with all the instructors at Fulcrum. They hit the sweet spot between encouraging and over the top cheerleading. They all know their stuff and give good corrections. The workouts are varied in format, music, and focus so I didn't get bored. I had a serious injury and they modified exercises for me while I progressed back to full weight bearing and impact. The instructors I regularly look for are Jai, Freddy, Cheryl, and Dakayla. I loved Rodney but he moved. Space: The gym looks like a gym, not a health spa. I like this. It is clean and well maintained. There is an outdoor platform and a garage door which has been great for COVID necessary ventilation. COVID: They took it seriously [sanitation, masking, ventilation] and even let me know when I may have been exposed [pre-vaccine era]. Payment: I had a few hiccups with injuries and life changes and they were gracious about suspending my membership until I could return. Women: There are tons of badass women who work out here. Classes are dominated by women. Cons: I cannot really think of any. For first time boot camp/weight lifters, I would recommend doing their health assessment/intro interview. They will show you some moves there. Don't be intimidated by the acronyms or moves - everyone can do them and pros will give you good individual attention if you need it.

The team at Fulcrum Fitness are knowledgeable, fun, motivating, and friendly. They’ve been so adaptive in all the changes and restrictions due to the pandemic, rolling out new programming, formats, and venues, so that they haven’t missed a beat. Fulcrum is my favorite way to start my day.

I recently started one of their outdoor bootcamps and it's great. Plenty of room, plenty of motion, and you push yourself to do *your* best. So, if you're fit, you can keep going. If you're like me and remembering/learning the exercises, that's great, too. Brian is our class trainer and he does an excellent job. It's really nice to be exercising again in a safe, socially-distant way that also gives the group feel. At the time of this writing, they're offering a free class so you can try it out without cost. Too, the price for a week of outdoor sessions is low enough that you might be able to give it a try to see if it works for you. - Even when you commit you pay each week, so no long-term investments. It feels really good to move again.

I just moved here from out of state and took my first class. It was so fun! David is a great instructor and the class was a great challenge. They do a good job of keeping everyone spaced apart and sanitizing the equipment. Our class was outside which made things a little more comfortable for me. Overall great experience!
