Last time I was here(and it will be the last time) the check out lady asked how many bags I wanted. and I said only 1. And she just gave me the dirtest look and rolled her eyes to the bagger who also acted like omg such a HUGE deal. But I told her- I have bags in the car anyways. If your working in a customer service place...and you interact with people all day, then why have such a bad attitude towards a stranger?? Something as small as rolling her eyes and being condescending, I remember it and how uncomfortable am and dont want to shop here. And literally, every time I shop at a Fred meyers, I would leave feeling like I'm doing something's wrong because of how I get treated or an interaction there. I do NOT want to give this place even 1 star.

I have decided to stop shopping in the Tugard Fred Meyer. I am so disgusted with the clef's attitudes! I have. Ever shopped anywhere etc where I've run into so many RUDE EMPLOYEES. The clerk I just had did not say hello to me and rang up 300 worth of groceries. I've gone in where produce people refuse to help, no plastic bags. In the bakery I asked the lady to slice my bread. She refused, said this is how YOU do it. I think all of them need to go back for training in customer courtesy ! These are the worst employees I have ever witnessed and this is week after week! I will now try Raleigh Hills clerks. If you are the manager of this giant store DO SOMETHING!

Honestly, what has happened to this Fred Meyer?? ALL OF YOUR FOOD IS ROTTEN. You constantly sell rotten or questionable food. For clicklist orders, I've even had pungent, DRIPPING rotten potatoes placed in my trunk. They stained my trunk & I couldn't get the smell out for weeks. How do your employees see this food and then choose it for customers?? I have walked down aisles in the store with bins full of food (I hope was being removed from the shelves) that smelled. I stopped shopping here months ago bc if all the rotten food being sold-- I don't even trust the food from here that looks and smells ok. But out of pure convenience, I returned last week to get a few things. The bag of french bread I bought says SELL by 8/29. SELL BY. We went to toast some today, and it is covered in blue-green mold. Makes me sick we ate some of this. We got the corn on the cob I purchased from here out last night, which was still "good" based on the date, but couldn't eat it as it was covered in white slime. Since Fred Meyer no longer accepts BCBS, we can no longer fill prescriptions here either, so there's is absolutely no reason to shop here anymore.I truly hope this store doesn't make someone extremely sick due to its questionable selling practices. This is totally unacceptable, disgusting and dangerous.

I've literally gone to this store off and on my whole life! I remember when this store had a completely different look. It went through three or four phases where literally everything was changed. It used to have a drive-up for groceries. It had a restaurant (Eve's Buffet) and there was a hardware store called the Home Improvement Store which is now completely gone, the parking lot was expanded when it was torn down. To me this will always be the greatest supermarket in the world!! I went in there today after 4 years or so, and it looks better than ever.

This is a nice place cosmetically, so I was disappointed to learn that some of the people who work here have No compassion for disabled customers. Anyone who's ever had to use crutches knows how exhausting it is to get around on them... after a while, it starts to be painful under your arms... I had walked through the large parking lot in the heat of day and decided to purchase a bottle of water at the deli...When I went to pay for it, the blue-haired young lady told me to go to the normal self- check registers which is a bit further in the store...She could see me in crutches so I kindly asked if she wouldn't mind ringing me up some other way... but she refused and insisted I walk the extra distance and ring myself up at the self check area...I'm 45 years old... this style of utter un-helpful-ness was unheard of when I was a young person starting in customer service. .... How did customer service standards drop so far?

This is the largest Fred Meyers I have visited so far. It is further away from my home, but an easy stop when I am also on my way to the Tigard Costco around the corner. This Fred Meyer's is carries all of your normal grocery store needs but also provides shopping for clothing, jewelry, home goods and design, gardening supplies, electronics and more. Every time I have stopped in, it has been clean and the staff have been friendly. This was not my first trip to this store. I typically will stop in when I want fresh produce, pharmacy OTC items or grocery products in smaller quantities. Last summer this was the only store I could find tomato cages for my garden, so it definitely will remain on my list of stores as a go to market.

Shop around and check our product pricing. I was here a couple weeks ago, and needed some paper products. I checked the prices and it seemed really high. I'm glad I didn't spring and buy right there. I found 100 paper plates for I think it was 18-19 dollars. WinCo had almost double that count for the same price, same plate. Now I know thru the years FM had always been pricey, but I feel that was blatant.Due diligence pays off too price check, and especially with inflation. We work hard for our money, so make sure it's lasting you.

Coming from Atlanta, we know this chain as 'Kroger'. However, Fred Meyer is somewhat of an expanded version of Kroger - complete with clothes, jewelry, etc. It was...odd.We stopped here after dinner on our first night in town as we had seen it outbound from our hotel en route to dinner. We always need to stock up on bottled water when we begin a vacation, plus we needed a bottle o wine for a dinner-visit the following evening. From billboards we had seen, we had surmised that Fred Meyers was owned by Kroger (based on the ads). This proved correct, as I was able to use my shopping card at checkout. This place reminded me of a 'super Walmart' more than a standard Kroger. If I lived nearby, I might be a regular shopper. I have no idea what other local chains (or semi-independent stores) are like, though. This place had the items we needed. It had sufficient parking as well. Other than the size / scope, there was nothing outstanding about it nor were there any major dissatisfiers.

There are three different Fred Meter's I connected today in a few minutes and clues when I was just reading my rewards card and how that's used to show me fuel rewards if I join BOOST together with my card. Good news! I was able to download my App on my iPhone 13 Pro MAX while zooming into Portland Community College PCC on my IPads new Summer 2022 week back to school and correct my Fred Meyer's Rewards Card I updated my new address. Then my new phone number. That's why I support fresh produce and fish or meat and deli implicitly by already seeing clues around me reading about history and diversity built for a better picture of Portland.

We do not have any Fred Meyers where I am from. This is considered a "hypermarket"; one stop shop for grocery, drugstore, banking, clothing, jewelry, home decor, home improvement, garden, electronics, restaurant, shoes, sporting goods, toys, etc. Quality/Quantity - Wow, look at all the choices for the local beers!!!! Makes Safeway shameful... Atmosphere - This place is HUGE, like a Walmart of supermarkets. I think I got lost looking for the beer aisle. How do you own your own jewelry store? Service - N/A. Price - Good, cheaper than Safeway. :) Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success, Fred Meyer, since 1931 from Portland Oregon. 1931-1981 - Independent. 1981 - Acquired by KKR. 1998 - Now part of the Kroger family.

First time in I easily found the items, or the area for the items if not NA. Plan to shop there regularly while in the area.

Overwhelmed employees everywhere. Cannot ignore that all of them are still struggling to pay rent and food after their 40+ hours work week. Not to mention a public funds police officer there every night for a fortune500 company. Get your s*** together Kroger.

I used to love shopping here until I learned they were taking advantage of their employees. Instead of bargaining in good faith for fair labor practices over the holidays, you're blaming employees who have no choice but to strike for better working conditions.

I mean, it's a Fred Meyer. It's pretty much the same as all Fred Meyer stores. I went in to buy clothes for my newborn and there were literally zero options for 0-3 month baby clothes for boys or girls. That wasn't great but they aren't a baby clothes store so I couldn't be upset about it. The store was clean and displays were nice.

Nice store - one stop for most of what I need. Some employees are friendly and helpful. Some are downright churlish - acting like you're presence is burdensome. Rating would be higher but for this odd behavior.
