This is the best pet store I’ve ever been to! I came right before closing desperately looking for a “cone of shame” for my awkwardly shaped dog, Leo. Leo is very shy and wary of strangers — the person working (Jan 20) is THE ONLY PERSON who has ever given him, a fearful/anxious pup, a treat the proper way: back turned, no eye contact, and arm stretched behind their back with their palm up.Then, with Leo’s difficult measurements (long, narrow neck and long body), the person helped me try on every type of cone there before we settled on a donut/cone combo. When I was paying I noticed that I had stayed 10 minutes past closing yet they were so nice and accommodating. The people at the shop are so nice and a wonderful representation of the value small businesses bring to the community!10/10 would recommend.

My favorite pet supply store I have ever been to! They have the best dog stuffed toys! Fun pop culture references, current events, etc. Honestly the most attractive leashes/collars too. Fun prints...very Portland/PNW inspired.You can always trust their food/treat brands to be sustainable and no filler ingredients. Bulk dog treats by the pound....SO INEXPENSIVE. Lots of other treats sold individually also, meaning less packaging waste which means less expensive also.When you see a "boutique" pet shop on a popular shopping street, you would expect high "boutique" prices. Nope. I am always pleasantly shocked at how affordable my total is.Plus, all the employees will remember your pet's name and greet them with treats!!!!!

I'm thrilled after my first visit at For Paws. My 12 lb elderly schnoodle gets easily chilled & needed some comfy pj's for nighttime. The staff was awesome, helping me select the correct size for her. Thankyou for making the whole experience special. Her new cozy pj's fit perfectly & look adorable!

Our family loves For Paws! They have an incredible selection of natural and organic products for pets, along with a wide variety of gear and toys. I've always been appreciative of how friendly and kind the folks behind the front desk have been as well!

This store has an excellent selection of high quality pet supplies, at least for cats! My favorite purchase is the medium sized cat bed I got for $75 and two of my three cats are loving it already (pictured, senior 12lb cat Asher and 5lb kitten Pepita - there will be space for 5lb Poppy when she feels like it). They also love the toys I bought for them (a leacock feather, a thick kicker toy, a wood scratcher with rope) and the cat treats (Bonito flakes). The staff here was also super friendly, pointed me to exactly where the cat stuff was! Definitely will return when in Portland again.

Awesome pet store! Their prices are great and lots of local products in store as well. It would be nice to see them bring in more fresh food options.

Great store, central location, great staff! The store dogs give you free baths! They hold monthly events for shots which is fantastic cause I live down the road and use to procrastinate with my Mingus’ shots but not anymore! They have a wide variety of food, at varying prices!
