I have been wearing Filson products for a couple of decades. Yes they are expensive, but you are purchasing quality second to none. I have jackets that I have been wearing for close to 20 years with little to no wear. Fortunately mine are the older made in America versions. They could easily be passed down.

Not cheap, excellent products. Staff can be a role of the dice but the majority are knowledgeable and friendly. Inventory can be challenging on hot items but in the store you can actually feel the product. Quality and function are what you’re buying. Would be better if they still were made in America.
