The REI at Bridgeport recommend Fat Tire Farm when they told me they couldn't service my 19-year-old Giant Rainier's front suspension fork that was seeping oil.
Location & Parking:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Parking lot is in front of Fat Tire Farm; it's easy to locate and access. Safe neighborhood. As someone who lives 45 minutes away by car, this was a big plus!
Quality of Work:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Replaced the front fork, after determining that repair of the existing fork wasn't an option, for a price that seemed fair and reasonable. I felt very confident about the work being done.
Customer Service:
⭐⭐⭐
Separately, both the sales associate and the mechanic suggested I purchase a new bicycle. I also didn't appreciate being handed the old front fork back that was still seeping oil when I picked up the bike. Either recycle it for the customer or drain the oil and place it in a bag. Other than those two complaints, customer service was great.

Thanks to Fat Tire Farm for leading me to my dream XC bike, but most importantly staying friendly and helping guide me through policies I misunderstood. Always nice to talk moto and get a proper bike set up with Barry, and get shown the latest and greatest from Jay. Thanks again!

I bought my first Mtb here and it was a great experience. Jay was super knowledgeable, and massively helpful in getting a bike that fit the kind of riding I wanted to do. All in all I test rode about five bikes, and each one was set-up for my height/weight.
Again great buying experience.

Great selection and inventory - I always go in with the intention of buying a bike, hoping that these guys will become my LBS of choice but am always met with odd customer service. They had a specific bike I was interested in, the manufacturer had it on sale (I would have probably walked out with it at that price). Oddly they wanted to add $200 shipping, assembly and... warranty support. I have never heard of anything like this at a LBS.

Stopped in last minute for a helmet rental and mtn bike tire air assessment. Total newb to MTN bikes and came in with my used ride. Sean and his colleague were pleasant, patient and educational. Great price and piece of mind. Will be back! Thank you!

They always fix my Santa Cruz Heckler to perfection. Worth the price for sure. My bike is running so well now. They just installed new breaks and I've been back on the trail ever since.

Friendliest bike shop I've been to, always available to help with my bike troubles, and have the newest mountain bike tech. The vintage mtb stuff on display is also sick.

2 stars, I gave an extra for staff being nice but I’m giving the harshest review otherwise for being elitists about the bikes they work on. They refused to do a simple derailleur adjustment on my e-bike because it’s not specifically a Super Cool™️ eMTB (read: speed limited electric dirt bike). I’m just gonna say, I see a lot more utility bikes like mine, or front loader cargo bikes and commuters than I see electric mountain bikes, not just in the area but in the whole city. Doesn’t seem like a good business model here to refuse service just cause it’s not your favorite kind of bike ?♂️ it’s the only bike shop within walking distance though, and I have no car so I guess I’ll continue buying small parts that I can get that day.

Awesome shop! Spent a few days emailing back and forth asking about some bikes. Got a ton of information on em and went in on a Saturday. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and no pressure buying experience. Jay pulled multiple bikes off the shelf for me, set em up to my weight and let me test ride them. Everyone was friendly and super knowledgeable on products. Left the shop with an Ibis Ripley and can't wait to start logging some miles on it! I'll be back here for sure! Thanks again!

FTF Service Team: Simply the Best! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I can't say enough about the incredible service team at FTF.With a 3-week MTB road trip adventure on the horizon, I brought my Santa Cruz Hightower in for some much-needed service. They had it ready on time, and it was dialed in. I felt such confidence in the skills and thoroughness of the service team that I didn't even take it for a test ride before embarking on my journey. This level of trust is something I've built over countless years of coming to FTF, and it's the reason I keep coming back. These guys truly rock!?♂️? #FTFRocks #ExceptionalService #TrustworthyTeam #FatTireFarm #FTF

I bought from FTF in 2022 because they are an Ibis dealer, and I already knew what I wanted (an aluminum frame Ibis Ripley). For anyone who wants a multipurpose mtn bike and doesn't require a more expensive carbon frame, this is an informed choice, and a fantastic value. The folks at FTF have always treated me really well, and have been excellent about making sure I am a happy customer, which I appreciate. Most recently they updated the derailleur, which had been acting up ever since I had a little mishap in Tucson earlier this year. They are definitely a nice group of folks who deserve their great reputation, and my Ibis is awesome.
