This isn't the Lee Asher house so that why it's not good. It us not a sanctuary which doesn't kill pets but a shelter that euthanizes animals

Wonderful organization with very kind people. Such a great experience for our family. They were patient with us and it was a very smooth, easy process for us to adopt our puppy.
Highly recommend for a family looking for a fur friend.

We've gotten several rescue animals from this shelter. It's always been a pleasant experience and they've been very accommodating to our needs.

This place is great. we had an amazing time getting to know him at the shelter, spoiling him. Marshall is a big sweetheart. He's still a bit shy and nervous, but he's warming up to us and his new surroundings great

i got a dog on new year's day and she's starting to really settle in. her name is schmutz now but she is FKA ceniza. when we saw her profile and that she was described as special, I knew we had to get her. if people who see dogs everyday think she's special among dogs, she must be. she's been super easy to train and gets along well with our four cats. i wasn't sure i could handle a fearful dog and she's developed quite a few fears (she's made peace with the dog in the glass but the hooded woman is out to get us now), but i don't think the staff would have known that because she's most confident when she's around multiple other dogs. it's definitely been a learning curve since she's our first dog in our adult lives but she's been showing us more of who she is and we've been learning a lot about dog behavior. it's been really fun, i love her so much

Words can't describe how happy I've been since getting paired with this lovely pit mix ? her shelter name was Lydia, I've named her Indica cause she's sweet, mellow, loving and always good vibes ❤️ I got her from this location in March 2023, had a Pettable letter approval for ESA emotional support animal (side note: would be cool if they had a discount for that in the future but I understand why that might not work) and was really looking for a pitbull of some type. The shelter worker I spoke with was attentive to my needs and actually helped me ensure this would be the right match, told me a couple of the other dogs I looked at wouldn't probably fit and I appreciated the honesty and glad it pointed me in the right direction my heart was already going ❤️ she's never gone potty in the house or chewed my stuff, very respectful and kind, thanks so much to this shelter! ?

Unfortunately, our experience with this shelter was quite disappointing. They invested no time in understanding our lifestyle, resulting in us adopting an extremely high-energy dog. Moreover, the dog was advertised as 18 months old, but a veterinary examination after bringing her home revealed she was less than a year old.
When we attempted to return her (via email, as we were informed that they don’t respond to phone calls), we were informed that it would take three weeks before we could bring her back. Throughout those three weeks, there was no attempt on their part to gather additional information about the behavioral issues we encountered during the two months we had her.
Upon returning her, we provided a typed document detailing our observations and verbally informed them that our vet determined she was less than a year old. However, to our dismay, the dog was reposted with her original profile on their site the same day we dropped her off, and her incorrect age is still listed.
It's truly unfortunate as the pup suffers the most in this situation.

We adopted Ava, minpin, in 2011. She was the most wonderful, hugging, loving dog. I lost her two weeks ago. I know I'll never find another like her. I'm so heartbroken ?. Family Dogs New Life Shelter was awesome when we adopted her.

We adopted Nala a little over a year ago. She was very scared for the first few months. Nala was a feral dog from Mexico. After she realized that she loved so much and a part of our pack, she settled right in. Now she is a very happy, playful young lady and just as sweet as can be. We love her completely.

They seemed to really care about the dogs and the people they were adopting them out to. This is Lulu just getting started on her new best life!
