I have not had them work on any of my cars, but I bought a car that was worked on here and I called to ask a few questions about maintenance history and the man who answered the phone was extremely friendly and helpful, he described to me what services they had done to the car and how he felt about its overall condition the last time he saw it. He went above and beyond and I wouldn't hesitate to bring my car here if I lived closer.

Trustworthy, quality and affordable automotive shop — been a customer since they opened and they have cared for my old Dodge, Volvo, Hondas, Nissan, and more. Mechanics are kind and knowledgeable. Office is informative, honest and great to chat with. Mike (owner) and Steve (asst mgr) are in the biz because they love to help people, and it shows. Once you strike up a conversation, you will soon count Expert Auto as not only your go-to Repair Shop, but also a circle of friends.

I cannot say enough just how great this group is. I took them a very complicated issue to fix with my Ford and they did not give up until they had it 100% fixed! Friendly, hard working, great communication, fair pricing and stellar customer service. I will only take my cars to them. Highly recommend!!

Nice guys and reasonable rates, my only negative is I had a run of poor quality replacement parts being used that failed prematurely. Oh, and they also gave me back my vehicle without plugging in all the wiring harnesses one time.

I really trust these guys know their auto care and the prices are fair! As a woman, in the past I've felt mansplained and condescended by mechanics so I'm very particular about who I go to these days. My friend recommended Expert Auto Repair and she works on scooter engines, so I happily took her word. Expert Auto is communicative, timely and will let you know what's actually necessary work to get done on your car. I thought I needed more expensive work and it turned out I just needed a coolant flush! Top notch guys here and I'll definitely be bringing my cars for service for years to come!

I have a 1975 Chevy Van that nobody in town wanted to work on and I brought it to Expert Auto and they have done so much great work to get this beauty road ready. They’ve been honest, prompt and fair prices the whole way. Can’t say enough about these guys, I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my mechanical repair needs in Portland!

If only I could give 800 stars.I first found Expert Auto in 2001 I think... Not only do they provide exceptional service - they are KIND and helpful and genuine. One time - in 2010 my car broke down in down town Portland. I called Expert Auto and Travis drove over to see if he could get the car moving. While we were in traffic, with Travis under the hood - a guy pulled up beside me and rudely yelled "Hey Lady - this is not a good place to park!" ..to which Travis popped his head under the hood and said "she didnt park, she broke down. Im her mechanic and you are not helping. Move along" LOL. I loved that he remained professional, helped me out of a shaming situation and although he wasnt able to troubleshoot the car, waited with me until the tow came. Travis is not the exception at Expert Auto - they have a work culture like that. Steve, Mike and the others are amazing. Every car I have been able to take to them, I have. They now service my sons car also. I literally trust them with the most important people in my life.
