This place is great. Not a huge selection but what they do have is all really nice and high quality. This is definitely the kind of place I will be visiting often.

Community Warehouse is the best example of Portland's independent "thrift stores". It is not "cheap", but the money goes directly to support their work providing furniture to people in need (as opposed to the CEO's pocketbook - Goodwill, I'm looking at YOU)The items are high quality, reasonably priced for what they are, and displayed well. You might pay $200 for a big set of Lenox china or a couple of dollars for a mug or bowl. Furniture tends to be well priced and good quality. Today I saw a nice upholstered living room chair for about $65. Items run the gamut from antique to contemporary.They list higher end items on-line, so be sure to check that out as well.Kudos to the volunteer staff that makes this place work, and to the paid employees - who are super helpful and care about their work.

I had such a smooth experience with everyone at Community Warehouse. I donated over a dozen items that belonged to my deceased mother. It was so easy to communicate and schedule a pick-up. The process was super clear. And the folks who came to pick-up everything couldn't have been nicer or more considerate - even wiping their feet each time they entered my home for another piece of furniture. Thanks for all you do. You provided such an excellent and inexpensive service to my family - And I'm glad these furnishings will have a second life with another family.

Check back often and you'll be surprised. Half the time we stop by we find something that is a treasure. The furniture options are often great, artwork can be a total find. Love this place.
