I’ve been getting my hair done here for the past year and I have no plans on ever stopping! I love this salon. Lori does my hair and she’s AMAZING. I have really really long hair that I get highlighted and she always does such a beautiful job and manages my long hair like an absolute pro. She’s also super sweet and I adore her! I’ve also had my hair done by Doza and she also does absolutely BEAUTIFUL work, and she’s also incredibly sweet and kind. The salon itself is huge, super clean, very beautiful inside. Comfy chairs that I’m pretty sure are fairly new (I think they were brand new when I started coming here about a year ago.) The pricing is EXTREMELY fair and I love that you can book your appointment online. It’s very convenient. Highly recommend!

It is absolutely sad and depressing to see a once thriving business enter the "tanking quickly" realm.
The spa is now closed. Apparently, it couldn't make money? Maybe deferred maintenance was the problem; just look in a corner for a build-up of hair, dust, and product. Even baseboards, counters, and walls are covered in apparent signs of deferred maintenance. First, it was the soaking pool. "Too expensive to fix" as a business write-off is a burden. Then the steam room. "Too expensive to repair" again, as if a business expense is not a write-off.
That said, maybe the owners greed is the problem. They regularly can't afford to pay their employees. Why? Why also can employees not have direct deposit???
The clientele WAS there to fill that spa... until they were scared off by poor maintenance, poor customer service, and insanely high turnover.
The only employees that stay here are brainwashed robots. The smart ones leave quickly. Hopefully the lifers soon realize they're on a sinking ship.
Word to the wise; go elsewhere if you want quality service from a regular technician. These prices aren't even CLOSE to the quality of service.
Requested style: Couldn't be achieved.
Specialties: They say people are specialists, but their time and effort suggests otherwise.
Hair type: Nobody here can manage natural texture. All they want to do is smooth/flat iron.
Stylist: Buncha white chix that think they're the "stuff"

After waiting 10 days for an appointment I drove my girlfriend an hour to her appointment only to find out the stylist called in sick at the time ahe was supposed to have her hair cut. I'm out half a tank of gas, and all we get is a sorry, no prior notification. Will never go back to them.

I fly in from MS to get Doza Barcelona to cut my hair. She is more than excellent. My hair is super curly and hard to cut. Also the staff is really helpful, friendly and accommodating.

Brian is a national treasure and must be protected at all costs. He knows his way around hair and he's incredibly talented. I will never trust anyone else with my hair!

A glorified Supercuts - unpleasant vibe. SO disappointed with my haircut and when I went back for some adjustments it wasn't received well by the stylist

The aestheticians are all gone! I've loved Dosha but it looks messy and lacks the usual services. I walked in there and it looked like the place was closing (it's not, just no appeal)

I had used Dosha for past spa gifts for loved ones without issue. It appears Dosha is either a dying business or they do not prioritize massage as the earliest appointment is way into April. When I called them to see why the delay was so long they were dismissive and said I should have looked at a schedule before purchasing a girt card. Like anyone would assume the place is booked out months out. I would expect a long wait from an exclusive place which Dosha is not. This shall be the last time I utilize their services as there are much better salons out there who have ten fold better customer service.

I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience with Dosha on Hawthorne has prompted me to write one. I've been going here since I was in middle school-- for almost 15 years--but no longer. Dosha on Hawthorne has lost a lifelong customer.
I decided to give a new stylist a chance; I asked for balayage, with money pieces and a 2-3 inch chop. I soon found out that this was my stylist's first day and that his mentor was not there to oversee and mentor. There was no opportunity to discuss whether or not I felt comfortable proceeding.
I ended up sitting in a chair for over 7 hours only to end up having my hair bleached in a yellow/gold tone, (when I had asked for ash), in choppy sections. The stylist and I concluded together that this is NOT at all what I had asked for. He was very apologetic. The entire salon was aware of what was happening- his appointments that day had to be canceled because of the how much time it took, other stylists would come over to provide their 2 cents, etc. I was frustrated, but mostly relieved that my hair hadn't fallen off after being in foils for so long, and because the person at the front desk let me know that this appointment would be comped, and that they would cover the cost of a redo.
I came in for the redo 2 weeks later, and once again I ended up in the chair beyond the appointment time, this time for over 5 hours. The stylist tried to match my root color so I ended up with a result much darker than I had originally asked for. I could go into more detail on how many times we had to redo the color- but I won't bore you. I had also asked for the stylist to take off a little more length as there was so much damage from the previous appointment, but I was so eager to leave, that I didn't remind him.
At the end of the appointment, I went up to the front desk to provide a tip, (I've worked in service a lot in my life), and I felt as though he did his best, (but was not supported) as he tried to fix the mess that was my hair. The front desk person proceeded to tell me that I owed money because they never received payment for the first appointment. I reiterated what I had been told. This person was insistent and said that I could call back and speak with the manager if I had questions. I was so done with this experience, that I just ended up paying.
I made MULTIPLE calls to the number I was given, leaving messages. I finally received a call back from a front desk person who offered 25% off my NEXT treatment. I didn't think this was sufficient given what I'd been through, and I asked again to speak with a manager. She said she would have someone call me (no one ever called). After trying calling another two times, and leaving messages both times, I finally just gave up.
This experience took a total of 13 hours of my time sitting in the chair. My hair is damaged, not close to the color I had requested, or close to the cut I'd requested. But the biggest disappointment is Dosha's complete management failure. I will not be back.

Had a haircut appointment at the Clackamas location. When I arrive only to be told she was sick and I could rebook if I wanted. Um, no thanks. No call, email, really. Not happy and won't be back.
