I don’t ever do reviews but this one was just too horrible to not warn people about.
I purchased a 2005 Honda CRV from Dave's Economy Auto on March 17th, 2024, and my experience has been incredibly disappointing. I had made a deal with Enrique, the salesperson, that I would have three days to have my mechanic inspect the car, and if any issues were found, Dave’s Economy would take care of the repairs. After my mechanic examined the vehicle, an AVS code appeared on the code reader. When I contacted Dave's Economy, he told me that “sometimes a code gets stuck in the system and just needs to be reset.” Trusting his word, I accepted his explanation. Just three months after this the AVS and check engine lights began flashing, and it started running very roughly—shutting off completely when I put it in neutral.
In a state of distress, I returned to Dave's Economy and spoke with Enrique, the salesperson who sold me the car. He witnessed the issues firsthand and simply said, “I’m sorry, I don’t know what to tell you.” I told him they needed to address this issues and fix it since they gave me an excuse during that 3 day period, but he just referred me to a mechanic up the road, who unfortunately couldn't assist me. I ended up taking the car to my personal mechanic, who charged me $600 to fix the VTEC solenoid. When I contacted Dave's Economy for reimbursement, they denied my request.
The repair worked for about a month and a half, but now the same problems have returned. When I reached out to them again, I was met with nothing but excuses and a complete lack of support. I feel like I’m driving a lemon, and they refuse to take any responsibility.
Additionally, I received a call from the previous owner, who informed me that he received a parking ticket for the Honda CRV he sold to Dave’s Auto a YEAR ago. How does it take a year for the paperwork to be processed?! Given the level of unprofessionalism I’ve already encountered, it wouldn’t surprise me if they delayed the paperwork that long. I even had to assist Enrique with the transaction because he didn’t know how to operate the device used to complete the sale. To make matters worse, Dave, the owner, had the audacity to give my contact information to the previous owner instead of reaching out to me directly—completely unacceptable.
I have receipts to prove everything I’m stating on this review. Their business practices are questionable, and I strongly advise against buying a car from this lot. There’s a reason why this place has lower ratings. Save yourself the trouble!

Ali and Dave were awesome, I came in with a pretty small budget, I went to a number of other dealerships that day and felt like I was being ripped off everywhere else. They were not pushy at all, let me shop around at my leisure, test drive all the cars I was interested in, I ended up picking up this 1999 Nissan Pathfinder for a pretty good price. Car runs great and super clean, they are really passionate about sourcing good cars for people that won’t break down as soon as you pull them off the lot. Overall I’m super happy with my experience and purchase from these guys. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a car on a small budget.

We found a great deal on a used Ford Ranger! The vehicle was like new. Ali was very respectful and kind. The process was quick and easy. Highly recommended if you're looking for a used vehicle in great condition.

Really affordable options for any budget. No frills, no high pressure sales. We enjoyed talking with EC and we're considering getting a second car for the family so we'll be back.

Bought a 2005 Ford F-150 from them and 7 months later the engine had to be replaced. I know Oregon doesn’t have a lemon law, but when I called them to see if they had any ideas on how to help me get out of the truck they didn’t care at all. I wouldn’t suggest buying from the because they clearly don’t care about their customers after the purchase.

Very overpriced. Asked what they used to determine car value, nada, or kbb. They said they dont use those to price their cars because it is not accurate, they said they just come up with prices off the top of their heads. Kbb and nada said the price for theCars value was tops 7k, they wanted 10k.We walked away. Not going to over pay for a vehicle.

We needed a quality, affordable vehicle for our child's first ride. After weeks of searching, Dave's had exactly what we were looking for. Don't think you are going to go in there and haggle some ridiculous price. Dave's hasn't been in business in the west hills for decades by selling junk. We got a fair deal and I believe you will as well.
