Cargo is a unique retail environment that has been in business for over 25 years. The store's mission has always been to celebrate the handmade, the whimsical, and the undiscovered, catering to travelers, collectors, and voyagers of all ages. Recently, Cargo has expanded to include the Cargo Emporium, a collaboration with local makers and businesses. Customers describe Cargo as an eclectic and wonderfully curated collection of random artsy things, ranging from affordable craft supplies to high-end antique furniture and art. The store is a hodge-podge of artisan goods, imports, and vintage pieces, offering a little something for everyone. While the floor plan can be difficult to navigate, especially for wheelchair users, the store is a great place to browse and get inspired, even if you're not planning to make a purchase. Cargo's lower level is particularly known for its interesting Asian items, though not all are authentic antiques. Customers can find a variety of Japanese paper products, incense holders, and other unique items. Overall, Cargo is a cultural and magical wonderland, a true curiosity shop that offers a delightful shopping experience in an excellent neighborhood.

Very eclectic and perfect for PDX visitors. Many stairs and difficult to navigate floor plan for wheelchair access. Low/no air conditioning, avoid on hot days.
