I have used car toys for as long as card toys has been in business. I would typically never write a bad review for this company because they’ve always taken care of me until my last ordeal. To call in an ordeal would be an understatement. I was lied to, deceived, manipulated and robbed. Yes robbed. Trust foolishly, got the best of me. I paid in advance for a project that wasn’t complete completed. I was told multiple times that the project in fact was completed. On my fourth visit to completing this very simple project, A staff member told me that they were working on the project currently and the system sounded really good inside of the boat, He told me I was gonna love it. They knew the urgency of this completion because I was leaving out of town with the boat. The day I was supposed to pick up the boat I gave then a few extra hours just in case they needed to tidy up loose ends. When I got to my boat, you couldn’t believe my disbelief wires hanging everywhere no speakers hooked up, The Crab pot puller that they board through my aluminum was placed completely in the wrong area leaving a massive hole. I was so frustrated that I hooked up the boat, and I left the speakers that were sitting on the seat I put on the ground next to the boat. During my departure, which took about 35 minutes, not one person approached me, Months later, not one person has contacted me not the manager not the sales person. No one it’s almost like the theft didn’t occur. My advice is to avoid car toys, I understand the economy is tough for everyone, but being robbed, Having $190,000 boat damaged with a massive hole through the Gunnel Is beyond explanation. At this point, I am filing a formal lawsuit against car toys for the damages, The loss of time and the work not performed. I would suggest that everybody avoid car toys like the plague. It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve used them in the past it’s different now. I guess it’s the Portland Way where theft, and crime has become second nature. I filed a complaint with the Oregon department of justice, their Better Business Bureau and many others, but they don’t really care either. Hopefully a judge will see things differently.

Ive had multiple cars outfitted by this location. They do a great job. They really have a seamless install. This last visit seemed on the expensive side but I guess that's inflation for you. They also put my bass knob in a perfect location. They pay attention to the little details

I went to Carr Toys on 82nd ave and the guys there helped me pick out new Focal speakers to copliment my existing subs for my Chev Silverado. They also gave me a great price to replace my old navigation unit with a new Pioneer bluetooth apple car play. The guys were very nice and helpful. Installed same day with little wait.

They worked to get the price down to be competitive with another stereo store. I was not happy with how the new stereo looked in my car. It was not described to me that it would not be flush in the dash and would stick way out and that a little mini microphone would be visible. They agreed to adjust the installation but it is still not what I expected. Ask lots of questions to be clear on what the final installation will look like.

I tried to get a stereo installed. We picked it out but need a kit for a cleaner installation. They ordered it and I scheduled installation for the following weekend so I could drop my car off. I called before dropping my car off and the part didn't come in and was told they would call when it arrived. After about 3 weeks I called back and was told the part still hadn't arrived. I was done waiting and changed my mind. I was initially excited to have the work done but after several weeks I changed my mind.

For $50 extra, they got a lot of stubborn pet hair out of my car's carpet. Otherwise, it looks like they just washed it. They didn't do the windshield that has my own disgusting saliva all over it from licking the phone holder. Paid for interior and exterior detail. Check in process was cringe.

Im so pissed. Spent quite a bit of money here. Got a whole Alpine system installed. I took it back. They fixed some stuff. Broke my trim around my climate control. Blamed me for it. My trunk looks horrible. I have Amps and a stupid huge box for the sub. Did not replace the speaker covers they still say BOSE. It's a horrible install. I went there because I watched the show and I always thought they did excellent work. They do not. My Cadillac looks terrible and I won't even drive it right now. Something needs to be done to fix this horrendous install. My door lock is missing. My passenger door is flopping all around. The USB port is loose. My ashtray is glued shut and looks terrible. I have 3 vehicles. My truck needs a radio my car needs a detail. My Cadillac needs the tint replaced. Why would I ever take my vehicle to this place? They definitely will lose my business if they don't respond to me and fix this terrible install. I mean we are talking almost 3k. For the installation and system. And my Cadillac is a work in progress. I have spent a lot of money on this car. New engine new tyranny new windshield new brakes struts shocks tires wheels etc. And they treated her and me pretty shabby.
So I took my car back in for the 6th time. And you guessed it they still have not got it right. I specifically asked for my door locks, and steering wheel controls, and for the car to start. I guess 1 out of 3 and my car is still a mess. Missing my door lock. Paid extra for steering wheel controls and they still don't work. I was willing to just settle on those 3 things. And still, they disrespect me. I absolutely hate this place. I am calling my bank and I am finding an arbitrator to get my money back. I am going to rip this stereo out and throw it threw their front door.
Don't forget that I have taken the car 6 times. Do you think someone would be considerate enough to just fix the issues and make me the customer happy so I could bring my other vehicles in? And have my reviews talk about how great the place is. And recommend it to family and friends. I guess my business is not that important to this place. ?
