After new administration I’ve had to update my opinion. The teachers are great but administration practices a one size fits all form of caregiving.The franchise claims to inclusive but my little one has ASD and there was significant pushback or no willingness to make accommodations. As a result my child had to stay in the class with the younger children, which limited his ability to practice peer to peer communication. Administration kept trying to push more and more responsibilities onto the therapists assigned to my child. Another example is that the toilet seats in the 2-3yr room are too large. The kids fall in easily. Parents have asked if we could bring our own potty, potty adapter, or even pay for a new seat completely. All requests were denied and kids have to position themselves unnaturally on the seat or hold themselves up in the air to potty.Also worth mentioning is that the play area is not great. It consists of a concrete pad, concrete steps, dirt, and some toys.It’s disappointing that administration has taken this new approach toward caregiving. If your child has any type of need that may require some extra attention I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Quality of care has drastically declined in the last 6 months. New management is even worse. Avoid if you can.

This Cadence location has been a part of our family for over 5+ years and we have been so thankful and impressed by the kind, loving and fun care our kiddos have received here!! The teachers truly care about and enjoy the kids and give great daily updates, at pick up and throughout the day via the Kid Reports app. Our girls enjoyed the endless imaginative play, art projects, daily circle time, trips to the park and the “backyard” and yummy meals.The Director is amazing - she is a great and clear communicator and is always trying to find ways to support and encourage the staff, through formal talks with Cadence about pay, benefits and retention and informal things like providing meals and fun appreciation days for teachers and staff! In an under-appreciated industry that has been especially hard hit by tumultuous staff shortages, they are doing a great job providing consistent, fun and calm care for kiddos and families while still working to attract and retain great staff - no small feat in these wild times!

We’ve been at Cadence for 5 years now between our 2 boys and our youngest just started in Honeysuckle a few months ago. He was a true pandemic baby and we were worried about how he would transition and Teacher Megan is fantastic! She is communicative, caring and detail oriented and she goes above and beyond to make sure our son is safe, comfortable and happy. The structure and curriculum are great and I love getting all of the updates and pictures throughout the day.

Our six-month-old has been going to Cadence for a few weeks now, and we are very happy with the experience so far. The infant room teacher Roxanne is wonderful, and our son seems to love her. We love getting the picture updates so we can see what he’s doing every day! He gets to go on walks, do painting activities, and hang with his baby buddies - he’s basically living his best life.

We loved Cadence. We were and still are sad to leave. The teachers were absolutely lovely. I honestly could tell they cared for my child. If we weren’t relocating out of state we would have never left. The curriculum, friendliness and daily updates on my child truly are stellar. Cadence is amazing! I recommend sending your little there… they are out of this world amazing!

Our daughter just started at Cadence Academy Sellwood and we couldn't be happier with her experience. The director, Kim, and teacher, Megan, have been amazing and all of the people we have met there have been wonderful and caring. We are so impressed by all of the interesting and fun activities they do in class. She is learning so much and seems very happy! We love the pictures and short comments Megan shares in the school app everyday. We can't imagine our daughter being anywhere else and we would recommend Cadence Academy Sellwood to anyone!

Our daughter attended daycare here and currently attends preschool. I have appreciated their curriculum and especially their response to Covid and efforts to stay open and safe during the pandemic. We've had some really great teachers and the staff work so hard for the kids. I definitely recommend Cadence.

We have been so pleased with the care our children have received at Cadence. After over a year away from school due to COVID, we were concerned about how our children would handle being back in a classroom. The small size of the classes and wonderful work and attention of the teachers have allowed both of our children to quickly get back into the swing of things.

We absolutely love Cadence academy. Our daughter, who is 10 months old, has been attending since January, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Her teacher, Stefani, along with Michaela and the rest of the staff is wonderful. Stefani knows our daughter really well and does interactive activities with her throughput the day—it’s amazing to see how much our daughter has learned and evolved since she started attending. We highly recommend Cadence!

Horrible school. Employees are undertrained, underpaid, and overworked. Don't send your kids to a corporate school that doesn't care about them.
