Best auto body shop in Portland, taken my car to three out here so far and this one is by far the best. Best body work and paint repair I've seen and they will fight the insurance agencies for you. Can't recommend them enough. George is also fantastic to work with and will take great care of your car!

I have a 1997 bmw 328is with 80k miles on it. Which is impossible to find parts for. Progressive wanted to total my car for a very minor incident. These guys were 100% with getting this Gem fixed. They very much did what they said should be possible. To the point of straight up Genius.. in Detail.
Mark and George = A Genius twice.

Went in because my window came off its track. Guy said, “are you sure it’s off its track?” I said, “I dunno, but it won’t roll up anymore”. I know nothing. Guy pulls off the panel and notices that a screw fell off. Puts it back on, adds a little grease, tests it, replaces the panel, tells me I’m all set, no payment necessary. The whole thing took 15 minutes, during which he’s giving me interesting anecdotes about the manufacturing history of my car’s make & model & parts. Such a great experience! At the end, mostly because I felt bad getting off for free when I’d been prepared to spend hundreds of dollars, I ask what it would cost to repair some cosmetic dents in my doors & fender and he says “too much”. Goes on to explain how it would likely run into the thousands because it’s on multiple panels, paint, etc, and it wouldn’t add much value to the car. “Just drive it into the ground,” he said. When I think of honesty & integrity, I think of interactions like this, which I didn’t think happened in real life anymore. I feel lucky to be in the same city as this place, let alone the same neighborhood. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Please note: this was a VERY quick & easy fix, and I lucked out to catch them during a slow time. Please do not come here expecting free service!

The dude who helped me saw my beamer and immediately started saying prices trying to scam me. Then he just never helped me with a quote never called me back. I came in 5 times after that and he forgot to call me and forgot me in general. There a total waist of time.

Had some minor scratches on my Prius exterior/paint I had been wanting to take care of and made an appt at Burnside Collision based on the good reviews.
George was incredibly helpful and informative. He gave me an estimated quote for the work and said while he would “gladly take my business/money” he might recommend an exterior detail at another business he knew (Alpha’s Auto Detail, which I ended up doing and also highly recommend) that he believed would be a better use of my money.
Even though I didn’t pay for a service at Burnside Collision I would highly recommend coming here for good customer service and an honest quote on what you’re looking for. I will definitely return here in the future to support their business for future car needs.

Such a great experience with Burnside Collision. Incredibly friendly service & kind people. George made the whole process so smooth & went the extra mile to expedite my repair. To top it all off, they washed and vacuumed my car before I picked it up. Thank you!!

George and team did a fantastic job on my CX-5, repairing some dents/deep scratches and a mangled side view mirror, and were much cheaper than the dealer. Paint match was perfect. Highly recommend!

Sexism, aggression, and mistreatment at its highest The quality of the work I got at Burnside Collision was fine The service I got wasn't. George, the office manager, was a real peace of work. There were some small errors in the work, and a couple of billing errors made by insurance. George and I had several phone calls about the issues we were both trying to resolve. On many, he was out of control yelling at me, threatening to seize my car (before the work was or insurance cars were corrected), and hanging up in anger. He would apologize every time I saw him in person. I figured he was just a jerk. Turns out, he was a jerk to me (a woman). Whenever he talked to my dad, who was helping me with the situation, he was friendly and professional. He tried to justify to my dad that, yes, he was aggressive and yelled at me, but I had been "talking down to him." I wasn't talking down to him. I was talking to him like I was an equal human being. And, as it turned out, I was correct about how to fix the insurance situation that he said couldn't be fix. Mark, the owner, and all of his technicians are fine, and I recommend their services. The trouble is, if you go there to get your car fixed, your interaction will be with George. His behavior was unconscionable. As such, I, cannot in any way recommend using Burnside Collision for any services, and strongly recommend that the shop owner examines and addresses the way his office manager conducts business.

I am so incredibly thankful for the Burnside Collision team. I will start this long review by saying that I believe there is no better place in Portland to take your car for repair.My Tacoma was hit back in October that ended up causing damage to the rear end. I took it in to get quotes from 4 different shops (3 in Portland, and 1 in Coos Bay where the truck was hit)3 of those shops quoted me in the $1600-$2000 range for repair (cost was no issue since the other drivers insurance was paying for this - but these numbers are important)Out of the 7-8 people who looked over my truck, Mark was the ONLY person to catch underlying damage on my tailgate. The cost of repair to my truck ended up being over $5000 with the tailgate replacement - If I had taken it to any other shop, that underlying damage would not have been caught or ever fixed. BC was also the only shop willing to fight State Farm on OEM part replacement. They also recommended I get an alignment since my truck was parked while hit - George and mark were both able to get me reimbursed for that expense!Due to supply chain issues, my car was in the shop longer than expected, but I never blamed them for this. Please be patient with these guys, they are working as hard as they can given the current conditions, and the work done here will far exceed anywhere else you take it. I was given regular updates and communicated with over the holidays as much as possible. I am so happy with how it turned out and I know I will be recommending Burnside Collision to anyone that needs body work in the area.

At a time when auto body shops are so busy, George at Burnside Collision listened to my issue and offered to help. He was so kind and clearly cares about his customers. After a collision, my car was not drivable, and George offered to try to make it drivable until he could get it into the shop to fix it. Once he determined it couldn't be made drivable, he worked with my insurance company. Ultimately the car was totaled by insurance, but had it not been, I would have used Burnside Collision for my repairs. They will be my go to shop should I need any repairs in the future. George always answered his phone and if not, I got a call back within an hour. There are not many shops like Burnside Collision around these days.

I took my truck to Burnside after an accident. They were very honest with me and told me that it might be a long time for parts, but that they would work diligently to get my truck repaired and looking just like new. It took almost a year to get the parts through no-fault to their own. I have my truck back now and it looks great. Throughout all this they were, friendly, courteous, and had great customer service. I never once felt like I didn’t have my truck in the right place. I would highly recommend their service.

Amazing job. Did extra things like clearing out a small animal nest under the hood for better airflow. I didn't expect the care they took with all the parts they removed and gave back in case my son wanted to sell them. Customization is difficult and expensive but these guys truly care !!!
