Saw them a few months ago for rotator cuff injury. I told them i would only go if insurance (Blue Shield) covered it, they checked three weeks ahead of my appointment and assured me it was covered. After three or four visits, i saw it wasn't being paid. I told them i was going to stop cause i can't afford it if not covered. They again told me it was definitely covered and to keep coming and not worry about it. It wasn't.Now i am stuck with 7 weeks of unpaid bills, and they insist i signed a document saying i would pay (after they assured me it was totally covered). There are plenty of good PT offices in Portland, why go with one with a business model that relies on deception and harassment. Don't believe a word they say to you.BTW-my therapist Lindsay was fine.

It is the best PT clinic I have ever been to! The space is beautiful and has all the equipment you would want or need. But the best part is the staff, as they are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled. I have received fantastic results from my visits there. In addition, Connor, at the front desk is extremely helpful and very friendly. I am very happy I was referred there!

First of all, this is a real review. I’m an actual person living in NE Portland.I work as a professional city firefighter so my body is my lively hood. When I started having hip pain in 2019 I didn’t take it too seriously, after all- I was an athlete who had overcome injuries before. But it didn’t get better on its own. I couldn’t roll over in bed without it hurting. So I started reaching out to professionals.Doctors gave me MRIs and injections for the only thing they could find which was a small labrum tear. Other physical therapists (I tried therapydia and whole body physical therapy first) gave me streches and light band work that didn’t help. Acupuncture, massage, chryotherapy, yoga, cupping, etc did nothing. I couldn’t work or play. I was in pain doing daily tasks. I was running out of sick time and even unpaid leave. I started having back pain. It felt like everything was falling apart.I went to Josh at the downtown location with the expectation that he probably couldn’t help either since nobody else seemed to be able to. He even acknowledged that once a problem went on for as long as mine had (more than a year at this point) often it’s very difficult to overcome. But he did his assessment and found I had profound adductor weakness. Instead of band work he gave me a weight lifting program for my hip. He never had me doing anything that hurt- and started in a limited range of motion. But Instead of bands and stretches, this was barbells.I figured I’d give it a fair shake despite the hopelessness I was feeling. But low and behold it started helping. Within a couple months my tiny adductor muscles had doubled their strength and everything hurt about half as much. And another couple months later I was FINALLY PAIN FREE!I’m bending steel at work again :) I still do the same hip routine he gave me, but the weights have all gone up to levels I’m proud of. My adductor started at 5 pounds and now it can pull 40 pounds! My hip feels stable. I went dancing last weekend for the first time in about 3 years. I almost wept with joy that night as I lay in bed feeling tired but totally comfortable. This whole thing would have been a lot faster and less terrible if I had seen josh in the first place. If you’re hurting, and even considering surgery like I was: do yourself a favor and start with him.

I have been seeing Anna at Bridgetown for a few months now, and continue to be incredibly impressed with both her professionalism and knowledge. She has a holistic approach, and her understanding of body mechanics has made a huge difference for me. I highly recommend her and have referred a couple of friends who have been equally as impressed. The office staff is incredibly friendly and professional as well- They’ve Earned every one of those five stars!

After a woman struck me on my bicycle, I was referred to Bridgetown. Walking in, I was greeted by a delightful receptionist , Connor, who remained professional throughout my visits, all the while working with my schedule. Connor kept me abreast of any changes to Bridgetown's staff schedules so I could alter my daily activities. Connor was in tune with knowing my "busy" schedule and used upmost respect when calling me.My physical therapist was Davis Ngo and he was incredible! Im truly pleased that he did , just as his bio from the website says "he will help you return to the life you want to live". I suffered a torn rotator cuff and I admittedly was apprehensive , given my bulk weight as a previous bodybuilder and fitness trainer, having trained thousands of clients. Davis is known for working with climbers. Yet, Davis is an "all around", adept at his extensive training and physical therapy techniques to get me right where I wanted to be, back at 100% healthy. The last few sessions with him, he was thorough and efficient in explaining where I was in my recovery and where I would be in a few weeks. He knew my recovery time better than I expected myself to, having a history of recovering myself in bodybuilding!Bridgetown Physical Therapy & Training Studio is clean, very orderly and the equipment is excellent, me using a few pieces I did not know existed, others I've used before. With plenty of room to move about the feeling is undoubtedly one in which you are getting one on one training , back to health. I work near and to know I can refer someone to a stand up crew of solid trainers in the downtown area to get back to health will be no problem. Bravo to Bridgetown and its staff!

Every time I've been in to Bridgetown, I've felt taken care of. The PT's make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door, and the prescribed care has felt very personalized and directed toward exactly what was causing my issue. When my back backs up, I'll be coming back to Bridgetown PT.

My Physical Therapist, Erik Kaufman is at the NW studio, which is a hip, cool, yet warm and welcoming studio. I can't say enough about Erik. I had a complete knee replacement, the surgery was a success but physical therapy was HORRIBLE. 7 months following surgery my knee would still "buckle-completely collapse".Then I meet Erik, he restored HOPE, he is hands on, he was able to explain why and what was needed to improve and continue healing. Erik is very knowledgeable about the body's anatomy, he can tell you why and which ligament or muscle is weak and hurting and most of how to correct the problem. He is passionate about his work and strives for each patient to reach their optimal recovery level, which is why I have recommended Erik to friends and to ALL that are reading this post!! Erik get 10 stars!!!!!

I've been going to Bridgetown PT for ten years - through a broken foot and torn tendons; through rotator cuff repair; through significant labral tears, and now through a hip replacement revision that put me in surgery twice in one day. I knew when I walked in to Bridgetown NW today that I would be so relieved because every single visit, and there have been a lot over ten years, I get immediate relief, help and as many questions answered as I can throw at my PT, Darla Phillips. She gives me so much help when I'm there, but also makes me a partner in the recovery. I get better faster when she tells me what to do, and I do it. I have a shoulder with full range of motion, an ankle and foot I know how to tend to if it swells up, so before I even had my follow up surgeon's appt, Bridgetown was the first place I called. It always will be.

I started working regularly with Anna Wetzel just over a year ago, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. In my experience with Anna, she's very much aware of the physiological, biological, and psychological elements of injury and the importance of addressing all of them in care.If you are looking for someone who is incredibly intelligent, has tremendous leadership skills and immense empathy and care for her clients, you will not go wrong choosing Anna. All of that, and I'm confident she will help you heal and get back to whatever it is you're seeking.

After a knee replacement in mid-November, I've been working with Michelle for 3 months. The service is superior. Complete compliance with all safety measures; attention to individual needs; innovative but gentle ways to get the knee bending again. As an older (78) client, they have been excellent.

Gwen is absolutely amazing. I've gone to her for both physical therapy and personal training and would recommend her to anyone. I've always had limited mobility, and she's the first person who's been able to help me achieve a legit squat, and now I'm on my way to becoming super fit!
