Bob Thomas Carstar Collision took good care of my Tesla Model 3 after a collision and was on track to get the repairs finished until StateFarm Insurance turned it into a “total loss” designation - I was treated very well by the front desk staff and Nelson who managed my car and communicated with me directly until the insurance determination. I am very disappointed that I could not have the car repaired as it was still drivable. I give high marks to this shop and highly recommend them for auto collision repair. I appreciate Nelson’s time and effort in keeping me informed and getting what was needed done - estimate(s) and procurement of parts - and would turn to this shop again if ever in such a problem situation again!

The Bob Thomas Carstar team are the best!
I have had 2 repairs done with them and everything from the customer service to reliability of communications to the quality of work.
This is the best experience I have ever had with a car repair shop. I recommend them fully.

Having my badly bruised Tesla repaired here was my best car repair experience ever. Great communication, attentive and hard working crew. My car came beck in like new condition. Nelson was able to get the parts quickly and communicated at every step of the process. I highly recommend this crew.

I recently had my Toyota RAV4 in service at Carstar's shop on Sandy Blvd PDX to repair the back part of the car's body. They did a great job, stayed in touch with me at all stages and just made it look like new within the time frame they setup from the beginning. Highly recommending their team to anyone who needs body shop work on their cars!

They did a good job for the most part. They are all friendly people and they did a wonderful job with the auto body repairs. My one criticism, is that I kept receiving texts letting me know that my car was "almost done" and would be completed soon.... Promises were made 3 Fridays ago, then 2, then last Friday, and the car wasn't done. When it was finally ready, I found the spoiler for my car un-installed inside of my trunk, so technically it's still not done. They explained that they need to wait up to 30 days for the paint to cure before putting the spoiler back on. Ok, fine. I'm a reasonable person, but that should have been explained to me well before I went in to pick up my car. Setting proper expectations for the customer upfront makes a big difference in perceptions. Had I been told about the spoiler issue beforehand, and had they given me a realistic timeframe on when work would be completed, this review would be 5 stars.

Had a great overall experience with them. Karen at the front desk is lovely. They always picked up the phone, were helpful, and even helped me get my garage door opener out after I had surrendered the vehicle after it was totaled.

My husband and I turned to Bob Thomas Car Star when he was rear-ended by another car and our car was “totaled”. Karen and German were fantastic! We really appreciate their patience, expertise, care and attention during the process. Hopefully we won’t find ourselves in these circumstances again, but if we do, we’ll definitely return for their 5 star service.
