After many years with AAA, I decided to try another company after some slight issues with AAA service. I hit a deer while driving and called for a tow to my house, only to be informed that it would cost 750 dollars after 1.25 hours of runaround. Apparently they don't pay for a tow after a minor accident, but I read through all my terms and that seems very vague still. the dispatcher I talked to was clearly intoxicated and incompetent as well. back to AAA for me. Stay away...they're making the world worse!!!!

Poor service and poor communication. I was initially told that it would be 60 minutes for the tow truck driver to arrive. After 70 minutes I called back asking where he was. Then I was told 15 more minutes and he'll be there. He wasn't. At 10:00 the tow truck driver called and said he had just come on duty and he'd be here in 25 minutes. He finally got here at 10:30. He said repeatedly that he didn't get the message until 10:00. I've had this membership for 2 years and it's the 1st time I have needed it. Not sure it is worth it. From New Braunfels, Tx. The towing company was called Storm Towing. They fixed the issue with no problem, but the amount of time and the miscommunication was horrible.

Better World Club uses third party companies that don't respond to service calls.

My story with this company is way too complex and absurd to write here. Contact me if you'd like to hear about it. In the meantime, avoid them at all costs.

Good for nothing. Worthless. A hustle. I live in the metro Atlanta area. I've had them for less than 2 years for 2 vehicles. Every time I call they say I already used the max tows/service. In April, I requested a battery jump which I didn't receive. The man couldn't locate the hood handle and was ignorant about cars. The same day I requested a tow to have a new battery installed by a mechanic. They sent the same lousy company, but I didn't get the tow. Today, I was told I'm charged for both of those events even though I didn't receive the services. I asked for CS and/or a prorated refund but I'm just getting the run-around. Going back to AAA today. If there is another option besides AAA, please share.

My car broke down today. I called BWC 3x's and they informed my that they were waiting for approval. I called AAA and was informed that a driver would be out to assist me. I would not recommend BWC to anyone.

I'd had AAA for decades and was happy with their service but switched to Better World a couple years ago because AAA lobbyists actively oppose pollution regulation, public transit and bike funding. I used Better World roadside assistance for the first time today and it took more than 4-1/2 hours for the tow truck to arrive at my house to tow my car a few miles to the mechanic. Calls to customer service on a Tuesday mid-morning only went to their voice mail. The weather was great, the roads were clear and there wasn't a rush on tow trucks for any reason. It took nearly 2 hours just for them to find a towing company to take the job. It's disappointing and I don't plan to renew my policy.

I used Better World Club's roadside assistance today, for the first time in 10 years of membership. It was 4 hours from the time I called them, to the time the tow truck arrived. And this was near a metropolitan area. Even worse, I was mislead throughout the process about how long it would actually take, from "get right back to you" to "be there in an hour". If I had known it would take so long, I would have called a tow truck on my own (which would have taken 20 minutes) or left my car and done other things until the tow arrived. Needless to say, I won't be renewing with Better World Club.

I've been a Better World Club member since 2004 and have had no issues in the past. This morning I needed a jump start, so I called around 9:30 AM and was told I needed to go through the app. Entered everything into the app and was told they had a service provider for me and I would be sent more information in 15 minutes. As another reviewer mentioned, that didn't happen. I called back and got connected to a person, who said the app is broken, they were looking for a service provider, and she didn't know how long it would take. After an hour, I called again and was told the person working my case would call me back. THAT didn't happen either, and now it's noon and I'm on hold waiting to talk to someone to see if I can get any more information about what's going on. I'm switching to AAA.

I called the company for help when my bicycle chain brought ke (I pay for bicycle roadside coverage.) I was connected to an automated system that said I would receive a text that would initiate service. I didn't get a text so called again and chose the speak to a rep option that connected just connected to the same automated system. This time it did send a text with a link to prompts that I completed. Then I got a message to be patient while they find a service provider. Ten minutes later I got a phone call saying I would be called back in a few minutes when a provider is located. That didn't happen and I gave up and pushed my bike a long distance to get on public transportation. I've had Better World Club for two years and this is my first and last experience seeking roadside help with them.

Better World Club is great! We had to get a tow in April and our case manager was super-aggressive about making sure our tow guy got to us. She was a great advocate. The tow people are always friendly and helpful as well.

Terrible service. Takes multiple hours to even bother to call anyone or even get back to you. Have left me on the side of the road several times where I had to resort to calling someone myself. Customer service is awful and will hang up on you if they don’t understand or are confused. In particular, John on the support line is horrid and had no clue on what was happening.

Good service. Fair price. Weird websiteA specific example:I got a U-Haul truck stuck in the mud, so I called Better World. They said I should call U-Haul. I was upset and hung up quickly (and called U-Haul). During that call, Better World called me back to urge me to call U-Haul and not to use anyone else (which would violate my rental agreement). I curtly thanked them and returned to my call to U-Haul. Better World called back again to ensure I didn't do the wrong thing. (I apologized and thanked the representative for his persistent)So, if they take the time to take care of a rude member, they will take care of you
