Recycling at its best. The store is clean, organized, and we never have to wait long. Thanks Beanstalk!

This used to be a good, if pricey, kids consignment store but the prices here are just silly now. $22 for a faded Tea tunic or mildly trashed Boden dress. $20 for a stained kate Quinn dress. $15 for Tea leggings with their best days behind them. You can get them for less new. I went in recently and it's crammed with unsold clothing because the price points are not realistic. You can still get decent deals on shoes and books here, though. And sometimes on toys. I love shopping used--I'm all about it! And I would love to like this shop again. But, I feel like if this store maintains high prices for very used clothes, it's headed for failure, which would be a shame and a loss to Portland parents.

Beanstalk has some frustratingly limited hours, making it difficult to patronize on the regular (especially during the work week!), but when you do manage to get in the door, there's some fantastic treasures to be found here. Although it is primarily a consignment children's clothing store, you'll also find no shortage of wonderful, analog toys to plant the seeds of imagination in your little ones, in the hope that they'll sprout into clever, intelligent, fully-functioning, not-screen-addicted adults! This must be a conscious choice, because I could find nary an electronic device anywhere in the shop! Big kudos from me on that point alone! As for the clothing, let's just say, you're spoilt for choice. While some of the items are a little on the pricier side than I would like for a consignment shop, the quality of the clothing here is impeccable: clean, well-organized, and a healthy variety of sizes and styles. Everything you could need for any age, from newborn and toddler, up through the early grade school years: shirts, pants, dresses, hats, coats, shoes (TONS of shoes!), costumes, and all sorts of accessories! There's also a small selection of baby stuff in the back, including cribs, swings, and a host of different devices that I have no clue as to their function, but will assuredly be learning about them in the coming months (my wife is due next month)! In the last year, I have come to learn that shopping for a new child sucks, mostly because there is a dearth of places that have any quantity of clothing and accessories, outside of the big box stores, which I would prefer not to frequent, if possible. Thankfully, Beanstalk is here to pick up the slack, but you DO have to make an effort to get here during operating hours, particularly if you work during the week: Saturday (from 10am to 5pm) is your only real available option.

Clean and colorful store. My kiddos went bananas in here, so def recommend one adult watching kiddos while you shop. Yes, Beanstalk is a bit on the pricier side in terms of consignment stores, but I did find a number of goodies for each of my kiddos from PJ's to swim wear to toys. I loved the shoes, rain boots, and rain gear selection they had and lots of Hanna Anderson, Columbia, and like clothing. Friendly staff. I would def recommend a stop here. *Street parking

This place is a really adorable little boutique for children's clothing and toys. They don't have an enormous selection but what they have is very well curated and of high quality without being wildly expensive. The sales people were incredibly friendly and helpful, and very accommodating of children in the store. There was a little play area off to one side that didn't hold anything mind-blowing, but my kids were a big fans. Mine are too old for here now, but whenever I need to pick up stuff for a baby shower or a friend this is where I go for kids stuff now.
