Moving to a new city, in a new state, is adventurous and fun but also a little overwhelming and intimidating. Mercede patiently helped us navigate both the anticipated and the unexpected challenges that occur in an extremely competitive housing market. She listened to what we wanted, provided her expertise and guidance, and helped us find our home. We highly recommend Mercede!

Rob and his team made the process of relocating during COVID and searching for our first home and in a very challenging housing market as easy and stress-free as possible. They were always available to answer questions, provide guidance and expertise, and share encouraging words. We would recommend Archibald Relocation to anyone in need of relocation services!

I wanted to reach out and let you know about Alex's exemplary customer service. He has been a true pleasure to deal with during my relocation process. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to see TRUE customer service. I wish everyone was as professional, diligent and hard-working as Alex. He is a very valuable member of your team. Again, just want to say Alex made my relocation process less stressful and more seamless as he was willing to go the extra-mile...something many people refuse to do nowadays.

I was recently relocated with Archibald Relocation. Had such a great experience with them! Erin, my relo specialist, was fantastic. She was always quick to respond, provided detailed information and connected me with professionals in each category. I loved my realtor in my new city, the moving company was fantastic (they moved me cross country and beat their deadline, didn't break/lose one single item and were super friendly and helpful!) and they worked to reduce the stress I was feeling with the move. Kristen handled the real estate portion and she was very detail oriented and always had my best interest at heart. I recommend Archibald relo and appreciate the work they did for my move.

I've got nothing but great things to say about our experience with Archibald Relocation. Rob worked with us to sell our home, and we had 3 offers the 1st weekend. From beginning to end, Rob was an incredibly positive and helpful asset, and helped smooth over all of those little bumps in the road that always seem to come up. He worked around our schedules, had great advice and resources to recommend, and an incredibly positive attitude throughout the process. It was our first time selling, and we were very anxious about it, but Rob walked us through it and everything went great. I cannot recommend him and his team enough!

Stellar! Long time yelp'er, but first time rate'r here. We felt the need to share our experience with Archibald Relocation. Having sold / bought a few times along our journey, we're now know what it feels like to have a great relationship with our real estate agency. Simplicity, honesty, market expertise, availability, and hard working come to mind when we think of Mercede, Chris, Beth, and the team. Those are great words, but actions speak louder. The Archibald team created multiple offers on our home within three days, and under contract within four. They worked around our schedule (dogs included), and still managed to host an amazing open house, with multiple private showings within two days. Can't thank or recommend them enough.

We relocated from the UK to Portland and were allocated Archibald Relocation through my husband's company. The first agent we were dealing with had to pass us over to Mercede after having family issues, and initially we were very happy. Mercede is very friendly, gave us good advice up front about how to be realistic in our search and avoid "big-ticket" repairs, and we felt reassured we were in good hands. We were searching in late 2016 at the peak of the sellers market so were struggling to find any suitable inventory, despite me searching day and night through listings. In the end we purchased a house which had been on the market for some time and I had misgivings about. The inspection revealed it had several big ticket repairs needed incl. roof replacing (sellers when we met them had told us it was new!), new furnace needed, broken sewer line and a host of other smaller but not insignificant things which needed fixing. There were also some signs of water intrusion in the finished basement which the inspector flagged as high moisture readings in the wall and some swollen wood trim. Mercede took me for lunch and said if we didn't accept this offer we needed to completely change our search criteria for a new build as all older homes will have issues. I was not phased by having some fixing to do but it seemed too many big things as per her initial advice. We had offered under the list price, so she said we would be crazy to walk away from that in this market. Whilst I believe she had the right intentions, I felt pressured and ultimately agreed. After all the research I've now had to do on these issues, what I think should have happened is an inspection extension and further negotiations with the seller after some of these big items were discovered during inspection. Unfortunately we were first time buyers and inexperienced negotiators in a new city. Not long after buying, the city tried to dramatically increase our tax bill owing to the basement area of the house which had been finished illegally without permits. Mercede told us it was not necessary to have permits to finish a basement space, which we found out later is just plain wrong according to the city. The home is also excessively taxed vs others in the area (more than double some other homes of larger sq ft of comparable age and condition) and since we were looking across different areas in town it did not seem that different, however will clearly affect our ability to resell. I feel this is something we should have been advised to look at comparatively within the area, now having gone through a tax appeal. We were also told during negotiations that the attic would have insulation installed, however this was never drawn up in the paperwork so after receiving the keys to find it had not been, we had the issue of trying to have that job covered. Mercede to her credit covered the cost of this to make it right. Having lived in the house some time now it's obvious the sellers had concealed ongoing water intrusion problems which we are now left to try and fix to the tune of thousands - the drywall in the corner with high moisture readings collapsed due to being soaked the day I got the keys following some heavy rainfall, and we had consistent pooling on the floor. Other areas of the basement and garage now also show significant water entry. I also did not like that after the moisture in the basement was flagged and I requested to have the drains scoped, this was carried out without me being informed and on site - despite me telling Mercede I wanted to be there - and sent over via video. It turns out that the drain supposedly scoped was not fully scoped and we have had to spend several thousand repairing them. We also had a gas leak because of a poorly installed water tank the sellers put in themselves (also without a permit, which we did not realise needed one.) As first time buyers in a new country we felt let down by the mis-information we received and the way things were handled re permits and negotiations which has led to a huge amount o

Love this company! Used them to find my house in Portland. Relocation services were a bonus. Mercede and Beth were great, and the partner they have in Director's Mortgage saved me a couple hundred bucks in mortgage fees. All around would highly recommend
