This is the worst hardware store ever. I have gone in there several times looking for common items you would normally find at a hardware store, only to be told they don't carry it. One way to remedy that would be to check online...but this store is not connected to Ace online, so it's impossible to check stock for this store. It's like this store is stuck in the 80s, no joke. There are so many things I could list out, but my best advice is to go to Home Depot, Lowes, or even a different Ace Hardware location. It's almost like this store shouldn't even exist.

Very welcoming and helpful employees; even when I have no idea exactly what fastener or tool I am looking for, they help me find it while making me feel less like a suspicious and clueless stranger, and more like a somewhat familiar looking (but unknown) local shopper of a small-town hardware store just in need of a simple direct to what I needed.

They are very hyper aware of shoplifters which is fine, but please don't gossip to other customers about it, I understand judgment is a aimed at everyone at times lol

i went to autozone because my car nursted all inside my interior i decided that autozone would be a good place to get that fixed, they did not have the egdable materials for the consumption of the turbulance my car was experiejncing. lucky ace whave enough bustulent substancial cream for the hosing in my engine compartment

I had a horrible experience at this Ace Hardware and having been a customer of several other Ace Hardware locations in several states that I have lived in I am appalled by the interaction I encountered with David and the others near closing time. Now I understand that I arrived near closing and my transaction would be quick but that was not the case for several reasons. First I am trying to buy a missing bathroom sink aerator that was missing from the sink on a private rental when I moved in November. A few weeks ago I noticed there was water under the sink and isolated the issue to the missing aerator as it was spraying water into a hole near the faucet. The condo is old 1970s and the sink is the original not sure who made it but I went to an Ace Hardware at a different location and a nice gentleman helped and sent me home with two different sizes of aerator to try. At home the condo they were not the right ones male vs female parts, was not aware of that. I went to this Ace Hardware on Powell to exchange and buy the correct one and they couldn't help me find a suitable replacement, nor accept the existing parts for replacement because each Ace Hardware is owned by different ownership?!?!?! And after explaining to them that I don't have the information about the sink (David who was rude during the entire conversation) demanded I leave because he was done listening to the conversation. My situation was, after being told 1. Go somewhere else, local plumbing store called George Moreland Plumbing, 2. Refusal to accept the return of the products because it's a different store purchase, and 3. The lack of customer service and irate treatment from this location. I wouldn't recommend this location nor will I be returning there. I am completely understanding they were closing and they couldn't help me find a suitable replacement part but everything else was escalated because of David's inability to provide great customer service. As a long-time Ace Hardware customer I have always had positive experiences with the staff who are so helpful and friendly always willing to stop and answer your questions and share information. That was not the case with this location on Powell and 122nd in Portland Oregon and that is very disappointing. I will reach out to the store owner.

Large neighborhood hardware store. It has most a anything you need except lumber.
