Independently owned and cool man with long grey beard. Be careful if your pumping your own gas as most likely some mentall ill person is going to approach you..the intersection is a hub for crazy people. Least expensive gas in the portland area.

TOTAL RIP OFF PLACE. They Can't Understand English, They Are Usually Very Rude, I Told Them Repeatedly I Only Wanted to Put 20 Dollars Regular on My Debit Card and HE INTENTIONALLY CHARGED Me $ 40 and I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS and THEY ACT STUPID and I Feel This Was ABSOLUTELY INTENTIONAL.. Like these gas stations do not already line their pockets with gold, yeah they really need to rip people off More on Top Of It All.. TOTAL SCAM!!!!

I don't know what everyone's hate is for this gas station, but it's seriously my favorite one in N Portland. They're reliably cheaper than the Freddies or the AM/PM across the street and don't charge extra for using a credit card.To be fair, I just come here to buy gas. It's nothing fancy, but they do a fine job pumping it and they're again CHEAPER THAN ANYPLACE ELSE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.Full disclosure, one of my favorite things about this gas station is that apparently some people don't like it. There's never a line here, and while it's not the fanciest-looking gas station, the staff is super nice. I never have to wait long, and they're super cheap too! (Plus, there used to be this old dude who worked on the weekends and would play Johnny Cash!)5 stars from this frugally minded Yelper (but if you want to spend more money on gas and go someplace else, I'm totally cool with that!)

I used to love this place up until an incident I had today. The workers are always super nice and friendly, I never had any complaints before and I would have given it 5 stars before today. I pulled up to get gas and the worker took my gas cap off to fill my tank and proceeds to immediately put it face down on top of my car. This isn't a horrible for most people until you know what gas will do to paint, it's something you should know to never do and definitely can be a costly fix if not addressed immediately. Because if this one incident I will not be returning here.

On September 26th I came here in a clearly brand new car that obviously requires premium fuel. I asked for premium and the attendant pretended to put premium in, until I noticed that he was putting regular in. We then switched pumps and he short changed me on the amount of gas and actually tried to put REGULAR in my car AGAIN. When I actually got out and watched him he finally put premium in my car. Please avoid this place!

Don't go here! Avoid this station! This is the 76 station on N. Lombard - it was formerly a Shell. The new owners haven't even claimed the business or changed the name with Yelp. Anyway, I had a terrible experience there today. I came for gas and got rudeness, attitude, and incompetence. The attendant there - the tall, skinny, black man who doesn't seem to know what's going on and barely can understand things or speak English (I actually feel sorry for him because it's like he has dementia) - would not wait for me to use the 76 app and then proceeded to tell me he doesn't know about the 76 app, which is untrue because I've used it with him before. He then demanded that I use my credit card - I've never been so rudely treated at a gas station! He gave me attitude when I said to just close gas tank and I'll go elsewhere. I was stunned by the ineptitude and attitude. He also shouldn't be allowed to pump gas from a safety perspective. Isn't that why we can't pump our own gas in Oregon? They should lose their license hiring someone that stunningly incompetent to handle gasoline. He seems totally incapable of doing the job well. Why is he even still there?! I will never go back there. I won't put up with stupidity and rudeness getting gas when I'd rather just pump the gas myself anyway!
