Do not sell at this location they are a rip off. Still owe us 1000 and we will have to sue them for it.

My young son and I live a few blocks from this store. We were walking home when a sudden rain burst occurred. We ducked for shelter at the end of their stairs next to the sidewalk (covered by an awning) in front of this store. There were no people coming in or out, but two salespeople standing inside- more than 30 feet from where we were outside. We were repeatedly asked to leave, even though we weren't near anyone and requested to stay just for a couple of minutes till the rain let up a little. They were awful, so we left and I'll never shop there again. We left in the rain because they were so unpleasant - and the rain let up 3 minutes later, after we were soaked. Reading other comments, I see I'm not the only one who's not thrilled with this stellar staff. Store is ok, staff needs to go.

Walked into look around and asked a simple question and the owner was rude and disrespectful. If you go here, do not deal with him. He does not have time for you if you are not buying.

Great treasure hunting. A little expensive compared to thrift stores but not compared to antique stores. Always exciting and so many rooms, so much to look at! Fun just checking out everything.

In need of a picture for that blank wall? How about a set of 1920s martini glasses? Possibly a rare book that you forgot that you wanted? I've found all of these in this store, and I will keep going back. Every couple of months or so I decide to take a stroll through Peacock Lane, and I always find something that I want for a price that is pretty much what I think it should be. In fact, I have a beautiful framed print that I bought there about a year ago for around $40, a set of martini glasses that I purchased for $20, and various other things that fit into my decor wonderfully. There have been other items that I've passed over, only to decide later that I really did want, and then I find that they've been bought before I returned to buy them. So, long story short, it's a great shop and you should take a look around. If you see something you like, take it! You might not find it still there next time you walk in.

It's bigger than it looks, and it's on a favorite little stretch of High Street, but somehow I never made it in until recently. The staff, all two of them, spent the whole time behind the counter talking to a friend of theirs. We came in, two of us, late morning, live customers. Hey, people! We're not invisible, are we? No, we are not! You can see me! Yes, you can! Watch this, I'm going to walk in every room of your building -- all 10 or so of them. I'm even going to touch things! Yes, that's right, I'm going to walk past the counter twice! But no, I'm just not good enough ... you just can't say hello, can you? Am I too young? Am i wearing the wrong clothing? Dear reader, I assure you, I looked pretty good that morning ... as did my pal. And we're not college kids, we own a home, we spend our money. We don't look poor. I really don't know what their problem is, but whatever it is, they have a new problem: I have a big mouth, and I'm going to let people know about what kind of rude place this is. We even made a loud comment as we were leaving, but they were still too cool to say anything. What the frick is wrong with these people? On the plus side: there's a lot of stuff in here, and some of it's priced quite fairly, and as many reviews attest you can apparently talk them down even more. Just ignore the sticker price, tell them what you want to pay. You're the boss. The prices on the tags are merely suggestions. You can make deals here, that's the name of the game. But alas I wouldn't know, BECAUSE THE PEOPLE IN THE SHOP WOULDN'T EVEN SAY HI TO ME!
