3432 Cedar St, North Bend“I have rented storage units at By the Dunes RV Storage (BTDRVS) located on Wildwood Rd. in Hauser, Oregon multiple times for many years for over two decades. I can whole-heartedly recommend (BTDRVS) without reservation. It is outstanding and exemplary! Overall, it is likely the very best storage facility on the South Oregon coast.
This is a custom-built facility with attention to detail. This facility has a broader range of units including very large units for fifth wheels, large boats and campers. It has controlled gate access security, is well lighted, and there is full video security. Access is daytime, seven day a week. The facility is very easy to access and get to, located just north of North Bend and the McCullough Memorial Bridge and David DeWitt Veteran Memorial Wayside. (Be sure to visit the Memorial; I knew Dave, a Vietnam Vet, a great guy, and local Chapter Point Man member, who sadly died relatively young due to severe complications incurred from his Vietnam war service).
This facility is well laid out with ample spacing between buildings for access when there are multiple tenants present in the aisle. The facility management is responsive and calls back promptly. There is an emergency (only) off hours support phone number if you have a problem, such as access, which is also responsive, friendly, patient, courteous and helpful.
The facility has an outdoor restroom available outside the office. In times past I have been able to rent a lock until I could replace it. Easy online payment capability (24/7), as well as by phone during business hours is available, accounting is accurate, and a rental history record is available online anytime. The account web site is separate and is easy to use. The management and owner have been very good to work with, and especially so while communicating from out of state.
The primary reasons for this rating are location, ease of access, security (especially), unit type and size, availability, facility design, and responsive management. Most storage units in the greater area do not meet or address the above categories well and most are by no means secure. The only exception I have found is the Fortress main facility in Coos Bay (but not the overflow annex) which is usually full and limited in the number of medium to large units. Many of the other storage units in town are frequently vandalized. Some are rodent infested. There are several thousand individual units with very few vacancies between North Bend and Bandon often managed by third party real estate/contract property management companies, most of which you do not want to rent because of minimal management and security and frequent break-ins and rodents. If what you are storing matters to you, this is The Storage Facility and worth the investment and provides peace of mind. That is why I have used them repeatedly over two decades. Storage Pro Tip: Put down plastic sheeting before you move in to protect the floor, your stores from moisture, and for easy clean-up and move out. The rules and hours are strict and you must follow them. This is for security.”

“I didn't get the trash cans out in time and my trash guys grabbed my cans and put them back for me. Thank you so much. This never happened with our last trash company. It really started my day off on a positive note.”
