My wife and I went to three different tax “professionals” without so much as getting a 2nd call back before we found Newberg Tax and April. After one face to Face everything was filed. Needless to say, we won’t be using anyone else for tax related services.

I came in from out of state to help my brother with a complex multi-year tax issue. Got a quick, convenient appointment and was given excellent tax advice. Amy was fantastic to work with. I will definitely be working with her on future tax returns. Very happy she could fit me in on such short notice.

Our late uncle who lived in Newberg had been a client of Greg and his team for many years. We were so impressed by their handling of our uncle’s estate tax returns, we decided to become clients of Newberg Tax Service. Now, they’ve done our own returns for several years. Although we live in Portland, we feel it’s well worth our time and travel to deal with a firm we can trust to always do great work!

Disappointed.
I should have asked what the costs was but I didn't think it would be near what they ended up charging me. Was done 2 years ago they charged 855.00 for yearly and quarterly taxes which was more work. So I expect a 4-500 dollar bill which is what everywhere else quote for end of year self employment taxes only no quarterly this time. They charged 860 dollars just now. There is no way they did 860 dollars worth of work. My return isn't complicated. I'm a one man band. I brought them the numbers from Quicken. I've used them a couple times throughout the years but I won't again. I don't know if it's price shock but it rubs me the wrong way, enough to write a review.

I have been using Amy at Oak Hill Tax and Accounting for a few years for my corporate accounting, tax filing and payroll. I have never had a more responsive accountant- plus, Amy is on top of all the changes on tax law and makes sure that we are planning ahead. She’s smart, kind and always is looking out for my best interest.
Amy and her team have also spent countless hours correcting issues with the state due to mistakes Oregon has made with my quarterlies and taxes.
I refer Oak Hill to all my real estate clients and service providers because Amy is truly, truly excellent.

Amy has been doing our taxes the past couple of years and is so thorough and kind. I have used a few different people in the past but I have been very happy with Oak Hill Tax. They have a great system for submitting everything virtually which makes tax time a breeze.

It's disappointing to write this as Amy is great to work with 1:1 but Oak Hill has struggle mightily to provide services in any sort of a timely fashion. I constantly have to harass them to get responses. Weeks and months pass with nothing, no contact or information. I know that Amy has struggled to find help and has had some other challenges so it is difficult to write this review but I am at my wits end and I just want to get last years' taxes filed so I can move to a new accountant and I can no longer give Oak Hill my business.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Terrible communication partnered with lack of expertise costing our business and family over thousands of additional tax liabilities. Amy's lack of consistent response to questions and follow-ups, especially during tax season and even post-April, was extremely stressful and disrespectful. We have over seven emails in a row asking for follow-up with no response.
This isn’t a one-off experience. See other reviews with the same experiences we had.

I would love to recommend Oak Hill Tax and Accounting! I have worked with Amy for 5 years she has done our personal taxes as well as my husbands business tax return. The communication has been excellent, I love the program she uses to organize the forms and documents it makes it so easy. Amy is so knowledgable about the best way to go about things, we will be life long clients.

If I could give 10 stars, I would!! Amy is amazing at tax preparation, tax planning and maximizing deductions! I have really enjoyed working with her the past few years and I love her annual onboarding process too!

I regretfully after working with them for years have to change my 5 stars just as other reviewers have to 1. The worst communication ever and has gotten worse and worse. I even got an IRS notice that had plenty of time to get resolved before the deadline and that was in March of this year. To this day I have not gotten a response from anyone after calling, leaving messages, and countless emails asking for updates (It's almost July!). I will be finding a new CPA for my business and personal.

I hate to leave this review as well. I too have heard nothing from Amy with respect to my taxes. I have called and emailed over and over to no avail. Now I have to start all over and find a new tax accountant. Proceed with caution. Your taxes may not get filed like mine last year. Disappointing to say the least.
Follow up to this review. This firm cost us thousands of $$ in late fees because of their poor customer service. Such a disappointment.
