This place is great. Just a typical motel but with great friendly owners. Its always clean. They allow pets. The rates are extremely reasonable. Added plus its right next to a park to walk in and walk your dog in.
Id much rather give a mom & pop type place my money than a big chain.

The lady at the front desk was very helpful. She had a beautiful accent. The room was clean. It was conveniently located. The room was outdated but that was reflected in the price.

Mike, our front desk fellow was kind, soft spoken and witty. Probably the proprietor? Rooms are EXCELLENT - clean, clean clean. Quiet location, just what we love :)

So happy we found this gem after a long days drive. The gentleman was so kind and pleasant, the room is exceptionally clean, newly remodeled. We definitely will be back!

The room is nice, beds are firm, no TV channels to watch, the shower is small, good location in town, the parking is narrow, and the gentleman who checked us in was too chatty. We were tired and didn't want to chat, he would not be quiet. I had to speed things along.

Clean and comfortable! Has everything you need. Right next to a city park and museum. Fun town to look around. Staff was friendly and efficient. Will be back.

called on a Saturday afternoon i was able to get a room for that night. I paid over the phone and the front desk left the key in a special spot for me because I was getting in late. they gave me into on getting food before too late. for a small little independent motel everything was great. even had real coffee ready in the front office in the morning. I wish every place I've stayed at was like this.

Came through again on the way to Idaho and our second visit did not disappoint! The owners are so accommodating, the rooms are CLEAN, and the price is perfect.

I was traveling from Canada and it was a spontaneous trip so I hadn't booked a room anywhere. When I finally decided it was time to stop the first person I got on the phone was Mike and he was still an hour away! He was so pleasant and accommodating on the phone that it felt like I was heading home so that hour passed quickly. My arrival did not disappoint. His wife (I think) checked me in, and he took a minute to pop his head in to say hello. I wasn't there long and left before anyone else was up but I'll always remember the welcoming warmth from this couple for a weary traveller.

Saw the very large pro-trump banner and anti-POTUS political stance and my large group kept going. Loss of several hundred $$ for this tiny town.

I was fortunate to stay here two nights. Tall Winds is a jewel along what is otherwise a long road. Staying at an independent motel can be a gamble, but Tall Winds is the cleanest motel I've ever stayed at. Their Wi-Fi is great. Parking is convenient (the owner spent 20 minutes helping me park my truck with 30 foot boat and trailer). The owners are friendly. They are genuinely concerned about the quality of your stay. Lastly the price was very reasonable especially considering they could charge twice the price because where else are you going go? Bend is 140 miles further down the road. This is now a permanent stop for me.Thanks Mike! I'm sure I'll see you in the next couple of months.

Large sign on the hotel telling POTUS what he can do to himself is just unamerican and unchristian. I believe when people are on vacation, they dont need peoples politics shoved in their faces.
