Rather eager to demean and insult, made very strange assumptions about my professionalism, all despite my sizeable patronage. Would have appreciated genuine advice instead. Cut my visit short, will probably head elsewhere in the future.

I usually go to the SE Dick's color center on Salmon street, which is absolutely great. I've spent I'm guessing > $500 there, happily. The paint is excellent - much better than Behr, Sherwin Williams, or Miller.
The old small samples (which were free), however, moved to this location, so I took the longer drive to go there. This blonde lady with blue eyes was working there and was offended that I was given free old small samples at the other store. She wanted names (wtf) and bragged that her family owned the business, and argued that 'we pay for these' as if I had stolen personally from her (instead of paid her family many hundreds of dollars...). She asked for the employee names multiple times, it was clear she wanted to get them in trouble.
She wouldn't let us look at the samples ourselves. Instead, we told her what samples we wanted, and she got them (the wrong ones). First she charged us over double the right total price because she pressed the wrong buttons for two sheets of sandpaper we were getting. She tried to argue with us but her colleague pointed out what she was doing wrong. Then she entered the wrong prices again. We pointed this out and she argued that 'that was the manager' or something (her colleague). He however went and looked and determined that we were right about the price. Instead of apologizing, she seemed annoyed that we had pointed out the errors. We also mentioned that there were broken pieces of glass in the sandpaper area - her colleague helpfully went to go fix the issue, she was silent.
Finally, we got home and realized that she had gotten the WRONG paint samples we purchased - 2 of the same, missing the 3rd color we chose. Not to mention, the paint samples are *old* - the paint is dried up on the top and you have to shake it up. Kind of ridiculous that she was so offended that they used to be for free (which she didn't believe, but I've been to the other location many times and they always were - a big reason I kept coming back).
Honestly, never going back to that location for sure. I really love the Salmon location but this interaction sure left a bad taste in my mouth, particularly since apparently her family owns these stores and are getting the profits. I kind of feel bad for the employees. She sounds terrible to work with. I thought I'd found the place I always go to buy paint - apparently not :(.

Been buying paint here for over 15 years. They always treat you well and give good advice and personal service. I've never been disappointed in Benjamin Moore paint and the people that work at this store are helpful and kind

Very disrespectful and condescending. Didn’t give me the time of day when I brought a sample to color match. Seems like they come to work to check people out but as soon as it involves any sort of “color match” work, they don’t have the time of day to help. Poor service and do not treat their customers well AT ALL.

The paint from this place is amazing and the owner and other employees are so helpful and friendly. But, the owner’s son is so incredibly rude and dismissive and after 3 years of dealing with him, this last time was the last straw. He acts like everyone is below him and is very condescending. I’m sad to have to find a new paint shop but I just can’t tolerate his behavior anymore.

I love the kind of attention, guidance, and patience you can get here when you have so many options to choose from. But the store closes at 5:00 PM, NOT 6:00. And 4:00 on Saturdays. (Closed Sundays.)

Very knowledgeable staff and BM paint quality is unmatched. They’ve helped us do everything from color selection, prep advice, and sheen/paint selection. We’ve been to this location several times and have not had a bad experience.
