Initial response was fast and addressed the water leak. Signed approval to start but tech did not have all paperwork he was supposed to give to me. Flooring, ceiling and insulation removed and dryout started. After that it was a 2 weeks! before estimator came out and another 3 weeks! for repair to start. Communication was ok but I had to call several times to get work completed. Final work completed 14 weeks! after start then I received the bill which was for $8500! more than contract. Invoices for work done over a month before were not sent to me. Communication, work and billing could have been better.Services: Flood restoration

***UPDATE as of 7/31/23***
Our plumber was able to make time out of his schedule to come out Friday to repair the cause of the water leak under our house (the kitchen drain pipe was leaking). He took pictures and showed us that the area under of the kitchen was virtually untouched and there was still standing water and dead bugs under the kitchen. We had dehumidifiers on for over a week, but they were concentrated on the rest of the house, not the problem area. The plumber was disappointed and was going to do the work himself, until he found out we had paid $1700 and the main issue had not been addressed. My husband spoke to a supervisor who said a crew would be out Monday to fix the issue, however it's now 11:30, no one has contacted us or come by. My husband has tried calling with no contact. What started as a positive experience, is slowly devolving into a really disappointing experience. We have been unable to even start on repairs or use our kitchen sink or dishwasher in over a month, which isn't horrible, I just want to be able to get the water damage repaired.

We called ServePro first, but they were a couple weeks out and we had a major leak in our kitchen that had been pouring water underneath our house for several years (we just purchased the house a year last Feb and our inspector didn't catch it). ServePro suggested we call ServiceMaster. They had to crawl under our house, sanitize everything and remove vapor barrier and put up dehumidifiers for over a week...there was a giant gross puddle of standing water under our kitchen and all of the dirt was absolutely saturated. Someone came out every business day over a couple weeks and were able to clean everything up for the plumber to do his work. We learned that most insurances won't cover this type of water damage...we are definitely changing homeowners insurance...the staff was awesome, great communication, they were very caring and knowledgeable.

I have had nothing but outstanding service form Service Masters. They were prompt, courteous and anticipated my every need after my house fire. The worked perfectly with the insurance company. My household items were cleaned, smoke free and nothing was broken after being in storage for over a year. I use ServiceMaster as my go to when I need a claim handled right. There is no such thing as a perfect company, but ServiceMaster comes as close as any. If things go sideways, they are quick to bring a remedy. I have not had anything go sideways, so they are 5 stars for me all day long.

I have a few family members that had to use your service for unexpected losses. One family member lost their home due to the Alameda fire and some of her belongings were able to be restored with your services and that made a huge difference for us as they were family heirlooms. We also had an unexpected loss of a family member and your team was extremely respectful and helped us through a very hard time. I always refer your business when someone is needing help.

They were such a source of comfort for me in a devastating time of loss. with their big hearts, they restore more than just houses and belongings.
