They told my wife she needed new differential oil. After the work was done the rear differential leaked. I checked it myself and found out they had forgotten to tighten the top fill nut. It was backed out about 1/16". I could write this off as a stupid error but two years ago they changed the oil in my wifes car and filled it to overflowing. When a new rear differential costs thousands of dollars: Don't trust John's.

I have been going to John's Auto for almost 20 years. I drive an E30, and parts are getting hard to come by. But the folks at John's put in the extra effort to keep my E30 on the road and driving like new. Without John's Auto, my car would have long ago been an a scrap-yard.

They seem to be honest but very little concern about customer service. I took my truck to be looked at and was told they would call me. Nobody called and they kept it overnight without permission. I paid the next day for a repair. Later I found out it was not repaired and I had paid to fix the wrong thing. I went through all that a second time. It ended up costing me twice and 2 times being kept overnight.

Went in for my wife and my oil changes...treated us fairly and inspected brakes and tires. Comparable prices with other companies, but better service.
