Hearts was a great place for my daughter in her time of need! She wasn't sure at 1st because she felt that her Dad and I were abandoning her. She made lots of bonds with the staff and other kids. She was always respectful and listened to their rules. She did what was asked of her. She also definitely learned so much and grown from her experience at Hearts! Staff is truly amazing! I absolutely love Hearts with a mission and I'm truly forever grateful!

Heart’s has a heart for kids and shows up every day for kids and their families who need help. It was built by community support. I know many amazing youth who have been through the shelter. They found love and support at Hearts. Hearts helped them through some very difficult times.

HEARTS WITH A MISSION is so much more than a Shelter or transitional living facility. They are changing lives in a big way. The staff and volunteers that work with these youth are a very special group of individuals. They truly invest themselves into the youth they are working with and it shows.

Hearts with a Mission is amazing home for homeless, at-risk young adults. The staff is amazing and offers encouragement, structure and assistance in helping these young people find their adult legs. They help them become compassionate, gain self-respect and integrity so they will be wonderful citizens in our communities. I am thankful for their ever out reaching, caring, training, loving arms to our communities and to these young adults. Thank you Hearts for having a huge heart for our next generation of teachers, managers, and entrepreneurs!

Kids who want to change their lives can at Hearts With a Mission. If a kid is not willing to work and follow some simple rules and the structure that has been tried and true for over a decade and with over 1000 youth, it may not be the right place for them. I assure you that staff at Hearts With a Mission make every effort to love and and care for each kid both during and after they stay there. Bonds are made for a lifetime!! Also, I’ve worked in and around residential programs for 20 years as a staff, administrator and a licensor. You will not find homes any nicer, well decorated/furnished, cleaner or well taken care of then the ones that Hearts With a Mission offers to runaway and homless youth in our community. Our community has generously saw to that detail! Ya, are kids hard on the facility? You bet!! They're kids and kids are often taught how to make repairs when they do cause damage. It’s part of growing up and taking responsibility for one’s actions and Hearts sees those moments as opportunities for growth.

I came in as a 16 year old with no where to go. I didnt have a safe stable home and was couch hopping. Hearts took me In with open arms and I became part of their family. They don't care who you are or what your past is they just want to provide the youth and teens with safe housing, food to eat, showers, and even help with providing a plan to get out of the situation that made you homeless. They want to see you grow and learn to become a responsible adult and will provide what you need to complete that goal. They support you and are there for you through everything and make it known you always have a safe place to go. Hearts and safe families helped bring my family back together and not only helped me but also my mom with her addiction habits and reached out to her as well. If you need a safe place to go and focus on yourself and your needs, and not worry about simply surviving or housing, I strongly recommend HWAM.

I lived at hearts with a mission for 1 1/2 years and I was treated with respect and kindness something I had never had before. The people who work at the shelter are not there for the money they are there to make a difference in someone’s life. For the first time in my life I felt like I had a family! I love and appreciate every worker who worked their butt offs to help and support me through every crazy thing that popped up in my life❤️
