I was very excited when I saw a Grocery Outlet opening in my small town. Then even more so when I met the owners as I knew them personally and they are on a personal level very nice. However, their "managers" are very poorly chosen. I bought three large bags of dog food because my pup has a sensitive tummy & I heard only good things about this food. It can take 30 plus days to transition an animal properly. Unfortunately, he is not tolerating this food either. I tried to return 2 upopened bags yesterday and was told I was 1 day over the FIRM 30 day return policy. ONE day! Needless to say I now have over $100 worth of dog food that I can not use. I used to shop at Grocery outlet at least once a week spending between $50-$250 each trip. Wal Mart is the next closest store & one that I am not a fan of either. So, looks like I will be making trips into Medford for my groceries and household necessities. I would much rather spend my money on smaller local businesses and Grocery Outlet will not be getting my business again. All over ONE day, just sad.

Name brand snacks and health food for cheaper than at a standard store. Just stay away from the meat section and check the expiration dates thoroughly....especially on the cheese.

They may not have everything you need but if they do have it it's probably cheaper than a normal grocery store.

We have been shopping in this store for a long time and spend about $400 -$600 a month. My last visit I bought two bags of coffee that were labeled at $6.98 each. When I got home I noticed a tear in one of the coffee bags and they had also charged me $8.99 each on both of them.Took them both back today with the receipt. Kim, a manager would not give me my $2.00 back for the new bag that I exchanged, and is priced today at $6.98. The other bag of coffee as well.Mean while, while we were talking, five people were standing in line and she didn’t even call another cashier. It was a good 5 minute discussion we had and the other customers weren’t happy.Kim, a manager, said to the other cashier “go ahead and just do it and give her $2.00”. When the cashier replied, I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do, Kim changed her mind and wouldn’t give me any my money back. The whole situation with Kim was unprofessional and embarrassing. She needs to work on her customer service skills.

I have gone to a few 50 miles apart and customer service really needs some help. Also, the policy of return is stiff, not good customer relations. It's an emergency place to stop by only!

A good friend told me about their ever-changing wine selection at great prices. I went in last week with another friend to rendezvous with the friend who recommended Grocery Outlet. We were dazzled! I bought a case of exquisite 2018 Chateau Grand Marchand Bordeaux that tastes like heaven. I also bought two different Pinot Noir selections, 2021 Harris Parker Winemaker's Reserve and 2018 Belle Fiore, both of which are wonderful. I will acknowledge this. Grocery Outlet is not a winery. You can't taste the wine before you buy it -- unless they're having a special event -- so you had better know how to buy wine or be willing to take your chances just like in any grocery store. I learned that some folks buy one bottle, take it home and try it. If they don't care for it, the prices are so low that they just chalk it up to a learning experience. If they do like it, they go back and buy more but they had better hurry because these wines sell out fast. This is my new go-to place for really good wine at great prices!

The worst experience I've had in any public situation in my life, The staff is inconsiderate of customers privacy, and unwilling to communicate simply accusatory. my experience was so bad in fact I reached out to the corporate headquarters, as suggested by there website, hoping to get the 2 day turn around response as promised only now 2 weeks later to Had heard from no one.

Grocery Outlet in Medford Oregon sold me cheese that was sour and had gone bad but refused to do an exchange or return because I couldn’t find my receipt. I guess the cheese scammers are such a problem that they have to put their foot down. Really bad business.

While the store is not the tidiest, most well-organized grocery store I've ever been in, I'm okay with that since I recognize that it's a so-called grocery outlet. They have great prices, an inconsistent (again, that seems reasonable since it's an outlet store), but wide selection, and the staff is very helpful. What's not to like?
