I’m taking the time to write an honest review of this dealership. We have purchased 3 vehicles from crater lake ford which were great experiences with the sales staff and the finance manager. 10/10 was easy going helpful and friendly. That’s the only good thing about this place. The service department is a joke and completely incompetent. 2019 ford Mustang GT brought in for new tires as promised when purchased. When I got my car back the wheels were scratched very bad. Every wheel! Also car had yellow paint on it. My wife picked up my car and addressed these things and we were told it came in like that. Wrong! the car was immaculate when it came in. Very unprofessional service manager. 2015 ford f150 brought in for an oil pan replacement and some small cosmetic things. Took the dealership over 2 months to fix my truck and did a sub par job. Oil pan still leaks and the cosmetic items were not replaced correctly. 2021 ford mustang Ecoboost, first oil change ever since it was new. Lube tech over accelerating in the parking lot and gets out and says “this thing has a turbo” absolutely uncalled for and horrible professional service! Got the car back and did a quick inspection to find oil all over the bottom of the car. The car had 3,230 miles on it really? They can’t wipe it with a rag? We have lifetime oil changes on our vehicles and I’ll never be using that service ever! Also never will we step foot on the premises of that dealership ever again. Hope this helps people out. You think from a “Ford” dealership you would get quality. Definitely not here.

Crater Lake FordNov 24, 2023Al SchallerJohn gives me a call and asks if I can come in early because of a staff shortage. I said sure, it's Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. I arrive at 11:15, leave at 1:45 for an oil change. I had requested my front tires be rotated to the rear, the rear tires rotated to the front. The Gal at the service counter told me this is "normally" how they rotate the tires. I gave that a little thought and said, uh oh because they did not rotate this way last time..... She went to lunch, so I found John and asked again my tires be rotated back to front, front to back because of the wear on my front tires. He said he would tell the mechanic. I mark my tires because Butler Ford in Ashland, where I purchased the vehicle didn't rotate my tires and tried to charge me? I brought the service manager out, showed him how I mark the tires and told him the mechanic did not rotate my tires. I did the same with the Gal at Crater Lake, so I wasn't charged for the rotation. The mechanic wrote "more tread on rear tires" and didn't rotate any tires. As a bonus, the mechanic smeared the dead bugs on my windshield all over, so it's actually worse?I trust the mechanics read these reviews as a point of pride for a good laugh. After reading several other reviews I see nothing changes.

We had an exceptional experience with Tanner Newcombe. We conducted an out of state transaction and required multiple facets to complete and Tanner helped through the whole process. He made himself accessible to us via calls, texts and emails for questions and transaction details. You can tell how knowledgeable he is with the product and he was a pleasure to work with. Our first face to face meeting was priceless! Thank you Tanner! We will be back.Rick and Laura B from Reno, NV.

I live a few hours from the dealership and from the moment I inquired to when I was finally able to arrive in person several days later, everything went really well. Lance's knowledge and patience with my eleventy-seven questions and test drives combined with Ian's knowledge in finance made the whole transaction go smoothly. I am super happy with my experience!

Worst POS company. Miss the old crater lake ford. Service dept sucks now. Do yourself a favor make this your LAST option for anything. And when they respond like below. It is still all BS. They always have an excuse. Called butler. Got right in.

I found my truck on Autotrader and contacted the dealership. I had just wrecked my previous truck and was just waiting on my insurance payout. JT was great help, getting all my financing going remotely since I work 14 hour days 5 days a week and live 100 miles away. After all the paperwork was completed they even delivered the truck to me, 100 miles to bring me my new truck so I didn't have to wait any longer than necessary. Great service from all I had contact with.

I just purchased the unicorn maverick pick up truck. It took 16 months until I finally received it.My salesman was JT. Over the 16 months JT kept me posted of all progress. I would highly recommend JT to anyone looking to buy a car at crater Lake Ford.I hope Crater Lake Ford and its management understands what a great asset JT is to this company!

In October 2022 I purchased my 2022 Ford Ranger from Crater Lake Ford. I also purchased the lifetime oil change. Around July 1st, the service light came on. On July 5th, I called and tried to schedule an oil change. I was told someone would call me back. I waited until July 11th, and without a return call, I called again. On July 13th, I called the main number and asked to be transferred to the Service Department On July 19th I called again and was told someone would call me back.On August 8th, I went by Crater Lake Ford and asked to fill out a Warranty Cancellation Form for the lifetime oil change. Ian, the Business Manager, filled out the form and said they would send me the check. As of October 10, I have yet to receive the check. I will never purchase anything from Crater Lake Ford again.

I had already posted a less than stellar review from a routine service (oil change) appointment on 7/20/23. A manger did respond to my post to get my business back, but since that service I found some additional factors. During this service my tires were rotated. According to the manufactures door sticker my front tires and rear tires require a different PSI. The tires were switched front to back but the psi was not changed. I also pull a 40ft Fifth Wheel & I always check the torque on my tires before towing. My truck tires were not set to the manufactures recommended torque and I found that one of the lug nuts on a tire was damaged to the point that the outer casing will most likely need to be forcibly removed to get to the actual lug nut. This will probably mean having to replace the entire lug nut. Now it is too late to go back and give Crater Lake Ford a chance to fix the lug nut.I travel the US in my RV and this was my first and only contact with Crater Lake. I take my F350 to a Ford dealership in hopes that they will service according to the manufactures recommended specifications. I also had the belief that the service department would have checked the psi in the tires, tightened the lug nuts to the recommended torque, and if you damage something like a lug nut, it should have been replaced. The tech should have known because I was unable to get my socket to fit onto the lug nut.I'm sure not all the service techs will do work like this, but I don't think I'd give Crater Lake Ford a chance to give me that particular tech to damage something else on my truck that I will have to fix.
