I was a patient with West Hills for years until in 2021 when I had serious adverse reactions to the Covid-19 vaccinations. My primary physician (Erin Boylston) at the time tried to convince me my issues were in my head and that this was anxiety when clearly this was not the case. Naturally I went to another doctor to try and get help but my physician at West Hills didn't like this and basically made it to where i was unable to continuing to be a patient at WHC. It's really unfortunate when a clinic does this due to a doctors own ego issues, and lack of ability to actually help their patients when they are faced with severe and significant health challenges. I wasnt even sent a letter or told I wasn't able to return to the clinic. I found out by calling to set up an appointment and this is when I was informed by a receptionist. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. I would say there are some fantastic doctors at this clinic but the way I was treated was inhumane and would not recommend. Be careful if you become a patient here.

I was a patient here for 20 years. The service has gone very far from what it was and I do not appreciate professionals who can not communicate. If there is ANY resistance to what THEY consider is “good care” they will drop you with no warning or discussion. I am completely disgusted at what has happened here and I hope others looking for medical care will go else where.

If you want to be treated like cattle, this place will do that. They only hear what they want to. One of the WORST Drs office I've ever been to. They rush you through and could care less about you and your health.

I have been coming to West Hills my entire adult life. Dr. Mendonca has always treated me with the utmost respect and dignity, whether it’s typical physicals or intense mental health discussions. The team is so kind and I cannot recommend them enough.

I have been a patient at West Hills Clinic since 2006. I have never had one bad experience with any of the doctors or front office staff. I am shocked at some of the reviews I'm seeing here. Dr. Mendonca is a wonderful doctor - she is kind, patient, explains things very well and has a great sense of humor. I have seen several other doctors when I needed care on short notice and I've always had a very pleasant experience. Every time I call in, (Kristie usually answers) I am spoken to with respect and never have felt I was rushed or spoken to rudely. Their organization during this nightmare of Covid-19 has been amazing as well. As far as all the posts of people saying they are upset about having to apply or can't get in as a patient, there's a reason for that! They are at capacity most of the time because their patients are loyal. That right there should reveal the truth to everyone reading these reviews. I won't go anywhere else unless I'm no longer in Yamhill County.

I've always had great experiences here. The reception staff is very kind and professional and I've interacted with them many times. I wouldn't go on the older reviews.

My wife has been a patient since childhood and in recent years the front desk people have gotten rude and out to make a quick buck. The last time my wife when there to get inhalers because she couldnt breathe she was exactly 10 mins late (stuck in traffic) and they turned her away even though she was the last apoointment of the day and left her crying and unable to breathe. What health professionals would do that. Horrible practices!

Never in my life have I been told I needed to submit an application and see if they will accept me as a patient. I've heard we're not accepting new patients or we don't take your insurance but this is ridiculous.

I normally don’t really have any issues with this place but earlier this morning I had an appointment and when I walked in, I wasn’t greeted very properly, instead I was rushed by the receptionist on checking in, when there was me and two other patients that were there already checked in. So, I had to fill out a form and asked for a clipboard and the receptionist said “I don’t have anymore to give out, sorry.” It was in a short tone like it made me feel like I was being a pain or a bother by just trying to check in for my appointment. Then when I was finished I went to check out to cancel an appointment that I had previously scheduled for blood work that I didn’t need anymore because I ended up getting it done today again the same receptionist who checked me in was still short and rude and I said “thank you have a good day” and she was all “bye.” Again, short tone and acting like she was annoyed at me for coming in today. I am trying not taking it personal but like I said it felt like I was already being a bother by coming in to see the doctor. I wish I could remember her name but I can’t currently, but some of the receptionists aren’t very nice and not very helpful. That’s all I had today.

I’m a parental rights advocate. Had a parent beg me for a pediatrician as West Hills turned her down.
Had a new mother who had to do an emergency c section come to this clinic with her newborn for a new patient interview. Dr Mendoca not only slighted the mother by stating she was too old to have a kid (40) but she also said her son couldn’t be a patient because the mother has contraindications to the vaccines and wouldn’t be vaccination her newborn baby. Dr Mendonca’s clinic accepts Medicaid and insurance dollars and is not supposed to discriminate against a person’s medical status. Separately, I’ve heard that another Dr in this clinic denied their babies severe reaction to a vaccine was related despite it being in the package insert. I’ve got a lot of respect for Dr Hyder at this clinic, but not happy with parents who have come forward about other Drs here. Violation of the medical code of conduct for Oregon.

Amazing group of doctors, nurses, and staff. Not sure about these other reviews, but I recommend all my family members the direction of Westhills.

Absolutely horrible. Had a family emergency and could not make it to an appointment and let them know. They ended up discharging myself AND my 28 week preemie son as patients and never sent a single thing in the mail or even gave a phone call. I found out when I called to schedule an appointment for my son. Receptionist was extremely rude about it all. Super dissapointed in their lack of care for their patients.

I had been a patient for over 10 years at this clinic and called to schedule an appointment for an urgent need (not emergency) and was told it had been 4 years since I had been seen and now had to fill out the new patient paperwork and wait for it to process as their cutoff is 3 years. Fair enough. I rarley go the doctor and had had 2 babies in that 4 year span so my medical needs had fallen under my OBs care. I called Monday morning and returned paperwork same day. Wednesday I call to check on it and am told it's still processing and they don't know when I can in IF I'm approved. FRIDAY I get an Email (not call) saying I've been approved. I had already established care elsewhere and been seen at that point...but come on! A week to process new patient paperwork for a past patient of over 10 years! The Drs are fine but the office staff needs some serious help. The lack of care is a serious red flag in my opinion. By the way my new Dr is great... called Wednesday and was able to get in first thing Thursday morning as a brand new patient. Take notes West Hills Clinic....

I think the doctors are competent, but the front-office staff makes this a hellish experience. Lost paperwork or "dumped" our patient information from their system, despite our family have gone here in the past 12 months, requiring new patient info be provided. Didn't keep records updated from prior pediatrician, and on top of that some of the staff exhibited an attitude problem and accusations to accompany what I can only describe as laziness and apathy for my children's care and that of my husband even though it was their own staff losing forms or not checking their own files to see what was completed and already in the file. Honestly, I've never experienced such unprofessional and incompetent service from a medical office in my entire life. Shameful.
