We had fun doing our mosaics and the owner was pleasant and kind. We are beginners and appreciated the extra help.

Maurice was great. Enjoyed his help and expertise in glass fusing since I'd never done it before. Some folks had a negative experience with him but we did not. Cece and Teddy are sweet pups.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My mother heard of this place by word of mouth and has visited this establishment 2-3 times and had a pleasant time.
In the past, my mom has taken a few hours to create something, either using the provided stencils or doing her own design without a stencil.
***If Maurice (the owner and main teacher) wants his customers to only spend one hour and only use the stencils, then that policy should be posted on his website, verbally expressed when you make your appointment or disclosed upon arrival to the class. He did none of these things! ***
In no way did we deserve to be MOCKED, CHASTISED, and continually DISRESPECTED.
He does not maintain consistent rules or policies and will become argumentative when he finds an arbitrary reason to be annoyed with you.
I regret not walking out.
I thought, maybe he was having a bad day, and tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. But upon seeing all of these other reviews, I see that this is normal behavior for him.
I believe in supporting small business, but I do not support this kind of behavior. I am not easily offended, and I have never written a review before, but I have never been so upset and offended after leaving a craft class before. Art should be creative and fun. This was not.
Bad experience. Erratic, rude behavior by the owner. Y'all, it was rough.
0 stars. You've been warned.

We came a year ago and had a great time and created some amazing art. Flew across the US to come back. Last year Maurice was not here, there was a different couple that was helping us, perhaps employees. They were amazing. Maurice is the rudest nastiest man I have ever dealt with in a craft setting. He was condescending, mean and impatient. I was nearly in tears and wanted to leave when he tried to gaslight me and turn it all around on me. He told me to get out and never come back as he had plenty of other people to come in. In front of me he told my friend she was welcome back any time but not to bring me. . Say what? And they have changed their process. Last year I was allowed to spend a couple of hours carefully fitting tiny pieces of glass to make a stunning fused glass heron. This new person only lets you glue down fast art so they can move you out and move more in. Really if you want a fun day with friends, be treated as a valued customer and have a wonderful art experience, this is not the place for you. We ended up going a block over to the blown glass place and had a great time.

Don't come here if you want a fun artistic experience. The owner was so rude during our "class" that he had me in tears and I had to leave without finishing. It's not really a class, it's more like glass by number. I was given a few pieces of glass that I didn't get to decide the shape of and told to glue them down. When I asked for more glass I was told I had to use everything already given to me even though it wasn't what I wanted and all one color. So no chance of any creative freedom at all, just a blob of the same colors. The worst part was how condescending the owner was throughout the entire experience. He rolled his eyes every time I asked a question, and interrupted mom and I when we tried to get clarity. We weren't heard and were treated badly. I'm not sure why someone like this would choose a profession working with people as he obviously doesn't like dealing with the public. My advice is to stay clear of this business unless you want to be treated with disrespect.

As someone who signed up for an artistic glasswork class, expecting a fun and insightful experience, I was sorely disappointed by the sheer rudeness displayed by the teacher, towards me and my friend. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this teacher had a knack for sucking the joy out of creating art. Instead of offering constructive feedback, he belittled our every attempt, making us feel like we were more of a nuisance than students eager to learn!
Not only did the teacher's attitude hinder our progress in the class, it also just left a bitter taste in our mouths. His condescending remarks and lack of patience turned what could have been a positive and enriching experience, into a nightmare we couldn't wait to escape from. It's safe to say that we won't be recommending this class to anyone looking to explore the world of glasswork – unless, of course, being treated like an inconvenience is your idea of a good time.

Maurice was so patient and kind! NOT! He was hands down the rudest man we have ever had the displeasure of working with! He micromanaged our pieces from beginning to end. We drove 2 hours to come for this class and immediately felt like we had done something to seriously insult him. He made straight rude comments about our work, letting out loud exasperated sighs every time he saw our choices. We felt horrible after our time with him and it ruined our day. After wondering if we were alone in our horrible experience we saw all these other reviews and I’m glad we aren’t the only people who had such a horrible experience with him. Very sad mean man

Such a fun place. We had a birthday party for my 11 year old granddaughter and had ages from 11 to 67. Everyone enjoyed it! It takes roughly an hour and half then plates are ready the next day.

An aggressive, unpleasant man with a dirty and dated shop. There are a number of much better choices in LC.

I never write reviews, but felt like it was necessary. I received a Groupon as a gift from for Christmas and was excited to work with glass again. I took a glass fusing class in college and was very excited to create something. There was no creative freedom, he adjusted all of my glass, and everything is pretty much precut and mapped out for you. On top of that the owner is extremely rude. I opted not to pay extra for a colored background when I realized that it wasn't going to be my art, and more of a hand over hand color by number situation. When I told him I wanted the background to be clear, he was very rude and didn't allow me to finish my art project because, "there would be no contrast without a colored background". So I was not allowed to add splashing waves to my lighthouse. I am very disappointed and will not be returning.

My wife and I had a blast creating our fused glass projects. I did a sea turtle and Joy did a jellyfish. I'm anxious to see the final products after they've been heated in he kiln. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
