They do not check to see if things are expired so you better do the checking yourself or you'll almost eat rotten food like i almost have three times already since I've been going there. Will not be going back. I called about it and they barely gave me the time of day didn't even apologize for their lack of food safety

The store is ok. It's more expensive than other store I went too. Needs a little bit of organization's, other than that it's an OK store for people travelling at the coast.

Now I know why I NEVER shop at thos store. I have lived in lincoln county for 25 years and 2 years ago I stopped going into mckays because it is not only a horrible experience but the employees are rude and refuse to help you when you ask for help. Today I went in because I wanted to buy 2 gift cards for two of my sons. Not only could I not find Any gift card that they used to have. I asked an employee about the gift cards she barely fa e me time of day and refuse to stop stocking the shelves for 5 seconds for customer service. When I went to the cashier and asked about the gift cards I got a totally different answer than what the lady told me. I will NOT be giving this store a 3rd change. I will not ever shop here again and encourage other not to shop here u less you want to be treated rudely and not give a damn about their guest.

I worked there for 5 and a 1/2 years... Under new management and the place is taking a nosedive and the energy is very negative I hear from many customers

Regretfully, this is a heads up for active transportation/reusable shopping bag fans who live in or visit Lincoln City: this store is now banning shopping backpacks (as of Oct 2023). Apparently this is to solve a rampant theft problem, except, go figure, women's purses will still be allowed in carts while shopping. This store has no place to recycle plastic bags, nor do they encourage reuse of the plastic bags they sell for 5 cents. Backpack bans are anti- active transportation, so if you walk,bike,bus,roll up in a chair etc with your shopping backpack, be forewarned: They will hassle you to leave your backpack in a customer "service" stall without a door, that is frequently unattended (thus subject to their theft problem), with no bag check system. Though I've been fond of this store, I'm now giving it 1 star, rating solely on management's newfound lack of friendliness to shoppers who are ocean-plastic-conscious & who use active transportation with a shopping backpack. If you can't carry all your purchases home, that's pretty much the ballgame.

This is the only place we shop at, when we come to Lincoln City. Staff are always friendly and helpful, prices are very reasonable, and I’d like to shop local instead of some of the corporate chains in Lincoln City.
