Tails and Trails team members have been walking our labradoodle puppy for about seven months, and they are fantastic. Lilly paces around the kitchen every morning, eager for her walking human to arrive, and she’s excited beyond description when they get here. There are three T\\u0026T walkers who share Lilly, and they’re all totally reliable and friendly. They’ve trained her in “heel” and other walking behaviors. It’s clear these are not people just working for the money; they totally care about dogs. We’re delighted with them and their care for our puppy.

This pet service was a god send. Our private walker got too busy and doggie daycare was overwhelming and traumatic for our corgi. I contacted Tails & Trails and within a couple of hours we were already having our initial home visit, and were able to schedule for daily care the following Monday. They offer a wide range of services, are extremely flexible, and offer bundle discounts. I'm no longer stressed leaving my Ruby at home - she's extremely happy!

I have been using Tails and Trails for a few years. They have always provided me with good service and my pup is really happy everytime our walker is here. I love the daily pictures and updates. my pup loves his walker Ky. Thanks Jeff and Jamie.

So impressed! It was so easy on the app to mark what days I want my maple walked. The associates always answer my calls and are so kind and sweet. I love the app so much, it allows me to get very specific about how I want maple walked and what to do and I love that. The prices are also pretty amazing! I don’t have to worry about my baby anymore and I also want to say that Chloe did an amazing job walking Maple. She was able to be flexible when I didn’t know how to let her into my apartment at first and she was so efficient and responsive! Jared is also so sweet whenever we call and ask questions. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Update in response to Jeff: I did not make up anything, I have screenshots. Thank you for assuming I dont have evidence.The manager Jared harassed me about vaccines and people who wear masks, he went on rants about them, I do not even know why, I didn't bring this up to him, he seems like a very angry, unbalanced person. He is an anti vaxxer, anti masker - I imagine this likely extends to his cleanliness and other choices when taking care of animals; like if they're hurt or need love, clean water, if they're tired, hot, cold, etc. He would probably see no issue in causing disease or illness in your animal. It takes a lot of compassion and empathy to take care of pets properly. He is representing the company on websites and apps harassing people. He doesn't seem to care about himself, others, or their pets. I would 10/10 not trust him with any one of my loved ones, he seems to think illness, disease, and death is humorous. It's pretty sick and sociopathic if you ask me. Think twice before you show up wearing a mask or having a bandaid on your shoulder I guess, I wouldn't be surprised if he took his anger out on your poor pet.... If owners care and something about this is done, I'll reconsider my negative review. I have screenshots of him doing this and would be happy to supply them. I cannot say anything about the owners except I'm shocked they'd be willing to have a guy like this around animals.

Thank you for your response to my post, Chloe. You are correct, I called and asked for someone to contact me as I had the whole next week available because I was on vacation. I did send emails during that time to try to set something up, but getting back to me 6 days later meant that it was nearly the weekend and my vacation time was coming to an end. Yes, I did set up an appointment that I had to reschedule and then postpone. People have things happen and issues arise. I don't think the inability for us to connect should be pictured as a result of my having to cancel an appointment. The fact if the matter is that your website states that your company has a 3 hour response time. It was 6 days. I wasn't upset at all that we didn't work out and had not ruled out a second try in the future if needed; however, I perceive your response to be one of making the company look good and laying fault with me, the customer. The expectation that I should have been flexible after waiting six days for a call back, not to mention the lag time in responses trying to set up the meet is absurd. I am glad that your current clients are happy with your service - I am 100% behind happy pets. I do suggest to you, that in the future, your "small management team" figure out a way to prioritize potential new clients. Perhaps you cannot meet with them for several days, or even a couple weeks, but you should at least acknowledge their interest and be respectful of their time.

This business is horrible. It's better not to use it. They do not respond back in time and the person who answers the phone is very rude. They do not listen to the request. It is a bad business altogether.

Not impressed with their customer service or spotty communication with owner. Jeff came by to 'meet' our pets and stayed for an extensive visit, and we were assured that someone will be matched with our cats. I assumed this would be one person who would be our consistent sitter so that we don't have strangers coming and going into our home. Email communication with Jeff when I had additional questions was inconsistent and I couldn't figure out who to contact by phone. During our trip we suddenly had an emergency and needed to return sooner than expected. I tried to go into PetCheck to cancel the next afternoon's pet visit but couldn't find a way to do that online. I called first thing the next morning and the phone was answered by a sitter who was currently in our house (weird). I asked to cancel the afternoon visit since we'd be returning early and the sitter processed our request-- never telling us that we'd be charged in full PLUS TIP for the visit. I contacted the owner to dispute this charge and he said that it was within the 8 hour window which didn't allow cancellations. I tried to explain that we were fist time users of the service and didn't know about that policy, it was also odd that they didn't have a customer service phone number or anyone to speak to about this. No response from owner. Unprofessional and not very polite. We will not recommend this service to anyone or use it in the future.

Placed a call to schedule a grooming and was instructed to complete their online form. No problem. Done. Five days later, nobody has at the very least confirm receipt, let alone reach out to book an appointment. Guess the website deflection is just an easier way of saying go away, we can't be bothered. (That by the way, was his tone when I spoke with him, whomever that was...) Goodbye, and good riddance.

Edit2: I woke up on Saturday morning to 20 texts in a row of screenshotted Google searches for pet sitters. Passive-aggressive much? Look, I don't have time for this. Unprofessional snarky rude business owners. Edit1: to respond to your response, Jeff, you gave me ONE other place to contact, "Wag Staff", which was very difficult to find online, and once I did, they didn't cover my service area. I just spent the last 3 hours calling 15 different pet sitting places and every single one of them expressed surprise and dismay that you would bail on me on such short notice like this.] I first contacted them 12/6 for daily cat visits over the holidays. It took them a while to get back to me, and once they did they said they could do cat visits for most of the time. Fine; let's go ahead and book. They waited until they were literally in my driveway for the initial meeting, today, after I rushed home from work to meet them, to tell me that due to staffing issues they aren't going to be able to watch my cat. My cat that is on daily meds for cancer treatment and NEEDS someone to take care of him. Y'all had one job, seriously. Just so unprofessional. After 8 days of back and forth and wasting my time, now I'm in the position of SCRAMBLING to find someone else to look after my loved one.

I'm so thankful to have found Tails & Trails. My family came to Portland for a family wedding and we were in a bind with our dog only hours before the wedding. I was so nervous to be in a new city with no one we knew. I had never left our dog with anyone before other than family. Jeff came to the rescue! He was so accommodating with our Oso. He met us at the venue and walked him for the evening. I can not recommend Jeff at Tails & Trails enough. I was so pleased with Jeff. You could tell immediately after meeting him that he loves his job and he goes the extra mile for these pups. If I ever find myself in Portland, I will definitely be using Jeff at Tails & Trails for an afternoon/evening walk! Thank you again Jeff from Oso's family

We are thrilled to have found Tails and Trails. Jeff met with us and took detailed notes about our animals and their needs. He immediately made us feel at ease. We had pictures of our pets and a thorough note from the pet sitter about what happened with each visit. Our house was left in a very clean state as well. Thank you so much to this company for your outstanding care for our animals and our home!
