“Jenelle at Hammer + Vine completed my website order so carefully. They sent me a video of a hanging plant that didn't quite look like the one on the website just to make sure it was up to par - what they showed me was even more beautiful than expected! Delivery to my apartment was super fast with no damage to a very fragile succulent. I'm looking forward to my next purchase at Hammer + Vine!”
“I can't miss an annual visit to this garden. All of the dahlias are displayed in gardens and out in the fields. During their annual festival, you can purchase cut flowers, and food vendors are on site. There is a beautiful koi pond near the gift shop. This is a perfect place to view the dahlia varieties before purchasing bulbs.”

412 NW 11th Ave, Portland“I absolutely adore this shop. I stopped by for the second time in the past month (we just moved into a new place and I've been itching for plants) and every time we go, they are so incredibly friendly. I'm a little socially awkward so I'm not the best at asking questions, and they always know the right time to step in and help me decide on something or fill in a gap of knowledge. They even repot the plants for you if you also want a pot with your plant. Great selection and the plants are much better cared for (an cost less) than other boutique shops that I've walked into since moving to Portland. I love this place. :)”
“Great store for koi fish, and pond supplies and water plants. I work for the oregon Zoo, and these people are great supporters of the oregon zoo, they donate huge amounts of wood wool( the straw mater that their statues and fountains are packed in). This is used as bedding for black bears, polar bears, lions, tigers, cheetahs, chimps, and orangutans. All these animals thank you for your support”
“I love coming here mostly for the outdoor plants. They have a giant selection for spring and summer gardening. My preferred indoor plant soil is sold here, and it’s the best price in the area. Not to mention, every employee has always been VERY nice.”
“The Garden Corner - This might be my new favorite plant nursery. There are great ones all over the place out here of course and this is probably the most expensive, but regardless, possibly the most interesting of them all.I was showing homes in Tualitin and stumbled upon this place. Notice the massive hanging plant structure that is 15 to 20 feet tall. It slowly spins around and has a Bigfoot sculpture inside of it. I also bought the most adorable miniature hanging plant ever (photo of plant on wood shelf). If you are ever in the area (especially during Summer and Spring) check this place out. Very cool. Highly recommend. (10 stars out of 10)”
“I love this place. I've asked gardening questions at Portland Nursery multiple times - I can never get a straight answer. I called Tony's and was given tons of useful information by the person I spoke to.”

“Little Baja is amazing!! Thomas and Jordan were very helpful and did all the heavy lifting for me. Thomas even helped me put all the pots in my car at the end. Thank yall so so much. I will definitely be telling all my friends and family about this place!!”

“Artemisia is a delight for the senses, whether it's plants, crystals, or perfumes that you are after (or just to visit with Paloma, he resident dove!).I participated in the perfume making workshop with a group of friends and we had such a great time learning about the basic principles of blending.Amy does such a wonderful job of explaining scents and uses fantastic metaphors that really connect you to the poetry of perfume. We each came away with a bottle of our own personal blend and look forward to returning to make more! The idea of blending a perfume based on a concept or for a special occasion is very appealing!Thank you for being such a great host and instructor, Amy!”

801 N Killingsworth St, Portland“Have been a huge fan of Solabee for years. They are so kind and helpful and make the prettiest arrangements. When my fiancé and I decided to head to the courthouse we asked them about doing a bouquet with boutonnières and corsages and they were SO excited for us despite the fact that we didn’t need any venue flowers (some florists don’t want to make just a bouquet - who knew?!). We placed the order online (elopement package!), gave very vague details (colors we preferred), and they knocked it out of the park. Thank you, Solabee! Your flowers were the only obviously wedding-related thing I wore that day and I’m so glad we have the photos to remember. I also loved the valentine bouquet I received two weeks later - count on them for any flower need!”
“If I want a bouquet that I know is going to be stunning and long-lasting, I go to Glasshaus. The unique floral arrangements are so creative, you won’t find them anywhere else! I also love their potted plants and pottery selection. The owner has a great eye for quality and color. So glad to have your shop in my neighborhood!”
“I love Potted in Portland! They do the plant services for my office in Downtown Portland and all the plants are very cared for and look great at all times! All the employees are very personable and great to be around as well.I've also bout plants from them for my personal life and I really liked their selection and the fact that they are always willing to answer my questions.”
“Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I had fun, but I was unaware of the pricing beforehand. We received this class as a gift and were told we would get a small terrarium included in the class booking price and could pay to upgrade to something larger. That was not the case... It may be because the management switched between when it was booked and now, but it was more than I had wanted to pay out of pocket. I enjoyed learning the history and science behind terrariums and the hands-on assistance. Still, it was 250 dollars for two people (not including the class price). Fewer plant options were available compared to what was pictured online when my partner and I attended. It was a fun experience, but I wish I had been warned beforehand on how much it would cost us. By going through the class, you get a $25 discount, but that is already applied to the prices of the terrarium glasses you can choose from. I would have rather thrifted some mason jars from Goodwill to use than spend 100 + dollars on a small container. At least they offer a lifetime no-fault policy, so if something goes wrong, you can take it in, and they can assist you in getting it back on track. TLDR; I would go if you are interested, but be aware of the pricing!”
“We love this place! Not only are the plants and arrangements amazingly beautiful, but the people who work there are true gems! Friendly and knowledgeable. Make sure not to miss their Creators and Curators Market events. Spectacular vendors, food and community.”

3811 N Mississippi Ave, Portland“Working with Pistils was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. My husband and I set out to do a mid-scale landscaping project and ended up stranded and in a law suit. Pistils stepped in and agreed to remedy the damage. Not only did they extremely skillfully and professionally right the wrong, but they managed to create something much more incredible, functional and beautiful than we could have managed. They were on site almost daily for about a year and we had not one bad interaction. In fact, they felt like good friends by the end. When we called attention to something, they were immediately attentive. Everything they did was with the utmost care, skill and craft. Cannot recommend more highly. This job became very large scale and expensive, and they not only saved our landscape but probably also our marriage! The wall below was all hand split and stacked. We love you Pistils!!”
“I love the variety and have watched them expand on it over the last few years. The people who work there are awesome at giving suggestions for houseplants AND bioactive setups for herps and inverts. I don't get to visit often because I live 2 hours away, but I go out of my way to stop by when I drive through Portland!”
9AM - 5:30PM
5645 SW Scholls Ferry Rd, Portland“Somewhat more respectful crew than the other people that have recently been working where I live (speaking from the perspective of a client's tenant). Workers over the past 3 weeks however have violated requests to not disturb the sound environment before 8am for myself and 5 fellow tenants and could have done better at respecting our privacy and cleaning windows that they muddied.”
“I am very new to indoor plants. Last summer I got a zz plant from an online company that does self-watering pots. A few months ago some stems and leaves started to turn brown and I wasn’t sure what was wrong.I went to Staghorn to ask for help. The staff there are so friendly and knowledgeable. Dan answered all my questions so patiently and he explained to me that self-watering system isn’t great for zz plant. I decided to bring my zz plant there and Dan did a great job helping repot my zz plant to a nursery pot (they are totally fine that I want to use a pot I bought somewhere else) and get rid of dead parts. The cost for repotting was very reasonable.Thank you for saving my plant! I would definitely go there to get plants in the future.”
“Our family's small farm uses Concentrates for animal feed, bedding, and orchard maintenance supplies. The staff are all super helpful and informative and would be a great resource even if you're just starting to look at certain products. There's at least one cat roaming around that keeps the store feeling clean and mouse-free.”
“New to the area - from NorCal (West Marin) - I came in for help with ideas on restoring the creek bed behind my home after clearing it of ivy and blackberry. The staff was highly knowledgeable about both organic and restorative practices. Several people helped with the right fern selection (sword) then referred me to Concentrates in Milwaukee for bulk cover crop seed. In closing, this will be my go-to garden store. Their prices are the same as Al's and a little bit more than Home Depot and Lowe's. Their selection is similar to smaller Al's stores. It is the knowledge of the staff that sets this nursery apart from the others. That, to me, is worth a few dollars more, not to mention the convenience of being so close.”
“This place is a gem. Ted runs a really cool business- it’s got a small town feel and makes me feel good every time I go in there.Beekeeping supplies are why I visit (best supplier in the metro) but he carries plenty of other supplies and tools as well.”
“At every point of this order, the people I dealt with were friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful. I was particularly impressed with how precisely the delivery driver placed the rocks. He clearly knows what he’s doing! I’ll definitely purchase here again.”
“I live in Portland & last week I called Bark Blowers in Tigard. I spoke to Michelle who was very personable, kind, & helpful in deciding the quantity of cedar chips I needed for my side yard/play structure project. I then ordered for delivery & blowing in of the material. Darrel & Pedro arrived when scheduled & on time, to blow in the material. I couldn't have asked for a more friendly, personable, & respectful crew. They took the extra time to avoid blowing material into my flower beds that surrounded my cedar chip area. I couldn't believe such employees even existed anymore. Thank you Bark Blowers for employing such great employees inside & outside the office. I'd use then again in a heartbeat!”
“The nicest people work here. I’ve been in on two different occasions and helped by two different salespeople, both of whom were welcoming and eager to help me find exactly what I needed. On my most recent visit the salesperson helped me find a plant suitable for my budget, home environment, and newbie level of plant parent experience. Took time and offered care & patience ?Highly recommend!”
“Love AL’sWe went for Christmas decorations. Found some lovely items and got a bonus when the Lobster food truck pulled into the parking lot. All’s let us sit in their cafe to eat our lobster rolls. In the summer Al’s is fullOf fabulous blooms. Everything you could possibly want for your garden plus beautiful outdoor furniture and unique pots and water fountains.”
“Wilco is a place to be. You can buy great products whether it's a brand of clothing or healthy choices of dog food for your furry dog and even household tools or whatnot.”
