“I live nearby and stop in often. There’s so many beautiful items from all over the world at prices that are affordable. I’ve bought unique jewelry, fabulous scarves, purses, luxurious soaps and beautiful Turkish bowls. The staff is very friendly and helpful.”

133 SW 2nd Ave, Portland“The staff here is always super sweet - The last time I visited, the person at the register overheard my friend and I talking about Quagsire. They asked if we were fans and went to the back to bring out a Quagsire plush that wasn’t on display yet. This made my day and I really appreciate the staff here always going the extra mile :D cutest selection of trinkets and collectibles eva!!”
“Um. This is my new favorite shop?? Purrfect for cat lovers who want to shop local and support local artists. It was everything I ever hoped and dreamed of and more. And the owner was very kind and wrapped up my more breakable purchases to make sure they survived the plane trip home.”
“Very charming store. Staff is super knowledgeable on product. Beautiful inventory. Lovely complimentary gift wrap. Feels like you are in someone's home. They've been there over 2½ decades.”
“Such cute local art and gifts. I agree with the other review that you don't need to go to Target. My favorite items I got were the local spicy chili oil that I discovered earlier at the Portland Bazaar and the rainbow geode soaps from a local creator”
“Lovely store run by lovely people. Staff are always very helpful, kind and engaging: My go to store when I need to find a gift because they have something for every price range and have a good mixture of popular and unique items.”
“Great shop with a really cool variety in both items and prices. Art, stickers, candle, shirts, jewelry, and so much more. Almost everything is locally made. Really inviting space, felt free to look around without pressure.”
“Talk about a place to feel welcome and invited too. It's brilliant! The shop is an area for art and discovering treasures in the shelves. Stop in to look about, supporting our local community in the process.”

811 NW 23rd Ave, Portland“This place is rad. We bring all of our friends and family here when they come to visit. It's always one stop amongst the Portland weird and it feels like a staple to us and our circle at this point.
There is a lot of taxidermy and that may not be up everyone's alley, but even so there is plenty of art adjacent or diagonal to that space that you just are not aware of.
They have partnered up with several artists that they have in that shop that do incredibly interesting things with their displays. I'm being cautious not to give you much away and being intentionally vague.
They also have geodes you can buy and break, other minerals, plants, and other gifts.
I think it's a very special place to visit.”
“An absolute gem in downtown Portland. A giftshop with work from local artists and small businesses that is also a record label. You can listen to all the local artists before you buy any records and there are a few worth exploring. In addition, the staff gave me some really good advice about activities in and around Portland. I returned several times. Their location at the airport also has local microbrews at decent prices (that the dowtown location did not have).”
“The ladies that work here are amazing and so very kind. My mom was not feeling great and they instantly got her a chair and water. They were very kind and caring. They also gift wrapped all of our purchases. They have great and unique items. Definitely recommend”
“PERFECT!! The best metaphysical store in Oregon. The prices are so good, and it has practically every crystal you can think of. Absolutely amazing, just wish they were open more days.”
“A thoughtfully curated, high quality collection of cookbooks, journals, calendars, jewelry, garland, candles, ornaments, clothing, toys, wallets, candles, body balms, slippers, flasks, radios, and a whole lot more. The staff are mellow and never pushy. Gift wrapping is free for jewelry purchases.”
“This store is an absolute gem! Hands down the best customer service I have ever experienced! I cannot thank Ruby enough for her kindness. I HIGHLY recommend supporting this local business and I most certainly look forward to returning in the future!”
“Love this little place inside Cargo! There always seems to be something new in stock; it makes it hard not to buy at least one new item everytime I pop in. They have the best selection of washi tapes from Japan too...I've already lost count of the number of tapes I've gotten here. My latest purchases also include some adorable stationery, rubber stamps, and a Russian vintage pin. If you appreciate cute, delightful, interesting knickknacks you're bound to find some treasures here.”
“Stumbled upon this place while we were walking around and it’s such a cool and friendly store!! Lots of fun and vintage decor, trinkets, and clothes. Such a lovely place and would highly recommend!”
“What a wonderful store, it reminded me of a Tibetan Temple, this store on Division Portland, Tasha Delek my friend a thousand blessings, Tracey Cross, Vancouver,wa”
“Gone West is the kind of place where you always feel welcome and appreciated as a customer. Each time I’m in, I always find the cutest gifts and things to add to my home. It’s such a unique spot and I’m proud to have it in our city. Rue, the resident shop dog, also excels in customer service. :)”
“Wonderful bookstore with lots of titles related to the Japanese culture including Manga and Anime. Besides the books you'll find merchandise like vento boxes, chopsticks, plush figures, plates and more based on Ghibli Studios movies.”
“We love this shop so much. It's our go-to stop for special gifts for people we love. I - and my kids - can always find great gifts. I love that inclusivity is a mainstay of the brand.”
“This is my favorite place! Great selection of books, especially for being a little shop. Lots of cute gifty-type stuff too, I’ve been here before every major holiday/birthday since I’ve moved to Oregon City.Plus you can get an excellent coffee/tea and a delightful vegan scone while you’re there.”
“I loved the wide variety of presents and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend. Cute little animals and crystalballs for 5 to 10 dollars. Look for dinosaur mood rings. SO SLAY”
“The person working there when we came in was Pharaoh who was incredible, attentive and kind and helped us SO MUCH while we were browsing. The store was lovely with so many incredible hand made pieces. Everything was very reasonably priced and high quality. Beautifully witchy with everything you could want.”
“Inside the mall, so many cool things in this store, very fair prices. Friendly staff, clean store. Wanted to buy more but needed to fly back home. Haha. Highly recommend, was referred by others, and will return.”
“An extremely well curated boutique that is so special. This shop is a gem and has been for 17 years. I recently moved from Dallas so it's new to me but am so glad to know I can get my Santa Maria Novella products here.”
“Came with some friends and found some truly wonderful treasures. The owner was very kind and the shop is lovely with an incredible and well curated selection. You will be very happy if you find yourself here while in Portland. Sarva Mangalam!”
“Beautiful atmosphere and an almost overwhelming array of jewelry, statuettes, clothing, incense and much more! The woman who runs the shop isn't always there, as she is a family woman first and merchant second (so maybe call if you want to be certain). She's a very cool lady though, and I left with a very lucky purchase.
Check it out, you may find more than you bargained for.”
“Gifts From Afar Has plenty of objects from all over the world. Sadly, it was closed when I went to visit the mall. But usually, they have tons of nicknacks and artifacts such as clothing, jewelry, accessories, incense, small statues, etc.”
