I live in Los Angeles however my son lives in Oregon and I had an idea of what was going on with my sons 2017 chevy silverado truck. My dilemma was finding a good mechanic that was honest and reliable. After a few phone calls I called Dan's Auto Center and Thomas answered the phone. Not only was he understanding about our financial situation and time factor but he went through his Ideas and understanding of what was possibly going on. I have two older Mercedes that I work on myself and know that car maintenance is crucial. I arranged for my son to bring the truck to him. He called the next day as promised and had given me his assessment and I gave him the go ahead. I can't put into words about the confidence and feeling of security that the job was going to be taken care of properly. These guys were more than fair and had the car done the next day earlier than promised. One of the most important things to me is honesty and accuracy. We now have a mechanic for life. Thanks Thomas.

I don’t typically leave reviews, however my experience here was absolutely terrible. I must start with the rudeness from the lady in the front. She was very snippy and made me feel completely stupid(which isn’t a great start). When I brought my vehicle in for a diagnosis they were pretty quick about it, I’ll give them that. However, everything they diagnosed my vehicle with having was almost completely wrong, not fully but they definitely were trying to get me to spend much more on things that did not need any fixing. On top of that the lady made it sound like my belt was gonna break if I drove my vehicle anywhere. Which was 100% inaccurate. They also diagnosed my breaks at 20% and 40%. On top of all of this the amount they wanted to charge me was outrageous. I ended up going to another place that explained everything to me and were very kind and reasonably priced. My belt was completely in tack no wear or tear and not needing to be replaced, my breaks had a good 10,000 miles left on them and they fixed the actual problem with my vehicle in a timely matter. All in all I do not recommend this place due to lack of customer service and trying to pinch out every penny possible.

I build, race and maintain my own cars on the side so I rarely let others work on my vehicles. But, when I did, Dan was the guy to go to and trust you were getting a fair deal and an honest diagnosis. I hope him and his family are doing well these days.

Thorough and polite, I got a pre-purchase inspection through them. The technician there named Thomas was great to talk to, and answered all my questions.

My girlfriend took her car in for an oil change at Dan’s auto, Jennifer contacted her later saying that she needed her brakes done(which was true for the rear brakes only) but, they claimed she needed all her brakes done. And they quoted her $450 to do rotors and pads for the rear and, $400 for only front rotors (the dealership quoted us $460 for both front and rear rotors and pads). Which is ridiculous for a Elantra...
anyhow, I suggest giving them a chance still but I would shop around no matter what vehicle you have and, see who gives you the best price.
Update: The fact Jenifer called my now mother in law and told her to have me remove my negative review is just the icing on top. What a joke

We've been taking our cars here for a bit and trust this shop to give us an honest report of what is needed. They are great at advising on most urgent VS maintenance or repairs that can wait a bit.

The glass on the instrument cluster cracked. The Chevrolet dealer in town said we had to replace the whole cluster so we got online and found ISS. Gave them the vin number and within a few minutes they identified the part and informed me that it snapped off and on. The part fit perfectly as they said. The price was very good. The personnel at ISS are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Great place and I highly recommend.

Outstanding service. I asked Thomas ( co-owner and technician ) why they always looked so clean after working on the cars. He answer was “ that’s is how one looks if you know what you we are doing or know what to look for.” And I have to say that him, his brother Rob and his team have lived to that statement when taking care of our car. Lola, greets us like a family. Indeed a cutting edge type of mechanical experience. Sincere and kind family. It is a pleasure to do business with them, from something major or just to an oil change.

We are moving and broke down on the highway. It was the end of the day and they were getting ready to close but they could get us in the following day. They were very accommodating and great customer service. They had the truck fixed the next morning and let us know of other maintenance things that would need attention as well. Highly recommend!

How do you thank an auto mechanic team that has taken your car from dealership to 22 years?It isn't easy but I'll try. Ready to help when you limp in with a mirror hanging off from a parking lot hit and run. Towed in after 2 years of neglect (free ride in a tow truck.). Detailed-----even pristine under the hood. Loaner cars, a ride home & no contact pickup & drop off during the pandemic. Never stranded with a break down. Phone consultations. No charge. Discount coupons and "No charge ".Always smiles and laughs. 22 years of trust. Friendly reminders for mom. Dans became family when family moved. They did the service requested, with quality parts and the added value of confidence. I recommend them unequivocally.
