Darci is a liar. She will look you in the eyes and lie to your face, so she can have the advantage. She is very unethical and get very defensive if you confront her with issues you have. You can’t resolve anything if it’s not her way. Their office is very disorganized and have messed up on paperwork several times. She picks tenants that she likes and if she doesn’t like you, you’ll get cheated out of your money and get mistreated by her. You can’t tell people not to rent from her because there’s not much housing here. If you do, make sure to have paper records of everything saved and ready!

Applied last month, before they called me they informed my current owner first, then called me twice and said they’ve approved my application. This guy took me down for a tour for the open/available listings and I was down and really excited. He called me again and said everything is set and ready to go, and will let me know to sign the contract. I called back for follow up days after and was told to walk-in to do some corrections by a lady whose seem to be the boss. I told her about everything and that the guy I was working knows all. Her reply was “I’m the boss here, he’s not” and told me to fill in the blanks even where I put NA.I still do not understand how can they approved my paperwork and then denied it. Shouldn’t even called my owner and said I’m moving to their new property.Unprofessional!

PLEASE READ. If you have a property for rent do not list through DRC. If you are a renter please read everything. The office is poorly ran. Darci denied my application a month after I was told I was approved for lack of references when my GLOWING references were my landlords for the last 7 years. Darci stated one of the reasons for denial of my application was "poor demenor" because i asked them to follow up on a document they said they sent to my physician that was never sent. They also denied me based on a charge from 11 years with no priors and no police contact for the last 11 years. PLEASE read all the comments about the poor service recieved.serviceservereciev

This place sucks. Takes advantage of college kids/disabled/older people. Doesn't clean up or repair, and then has that audacity to charge you beyond deposit for things that were not fixed. Makes false claims and then sends a bill in the mail with a Warning for something that is impossible to prove because it didn't happen. Find out for yourself

A friend's experience who does not have a Gmail- "I have never in my life experienced such poor service from a business. The management team is exploitive and the only area that they work hard in is when they try to take advantage of people financially. Prior to move in, was told that the unit would be clean. To their standards perhaps they were, but to the standard of basic livability it fell way short. Not only that the management was slow to respond to maintenance issues if they showed up at all. Finally, we were not giving our deposit back despite leaving the unit in better condition than what we received it. Would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a place to live."

I wouldn’t recommend renting from these people. For one, don’t expect your unit to be clean when you move in. It’s “clean” to them, but it’s going to require a lot of work to get up to normal standard. They’re unprofessional, always trying to get more money out of you than they need, poor maintenance, and empty promises about improvements to our house. They tacked huge fees onto our security deposit, and told us we had multiple bad complains with neighbors (who we checked with, and had no idea what we were talking about). We should’ve known it would be bad when not a single person I talked to about them had a nice thing to say.

I have put in several requests for a repair. They have either ignored it or they have not called me to tell me that they will not repair it. I am referring to a hole in the roof of the shed. I cannot repair it myself because of my contract. They “lost” my application three times and they have also lied about how much I owe them for rent. I have also received an eviction notice for a different property they own, so they obviously are not very well organized. I really do hope they get their act together, but I doubt they ever will. May god have mercy on your soul if you have to rent through them.

I am a student at EOU, and my landlords decided to go through DRC after doing several illegal things causing all of us to not want to rent from them. They did not switch to them until AFTER all 4 of us college students decided to break our lease, give 30 days and move out. They(DRC) would not let any of us be part of the walk through(which is illegal by the way). When we(all of my roommates) received a letter in our door on a Friday afternoon(2 days before our move out day) saying they were in charge now. We were all instructed to have zero contact with our landlord. I went into the DRC to talk to them about the situation, I was on the phone with my mother and she had to cut in due to the fact that the main woman was completely rude and only cared about what our slumlords had told her about us. Honestly they were a perfect match. No walk through date was given to me after I requested it and gave her the house key. Not being able to contact my landlord at the time I waited for a call to get my statement on where the money had gone, this was in April. After still not receiving anything by June I finally went in and asked what was happening. They gave me the paperwork, luckily I opened it before leaving. There was no statement in the first envelope.. I went back in and pointed that out, only then did they give me the statement. I noticed that the date was from before anyone moved out. I asked her to sign and date the current one to prove I haddent gotten it until today. With an sass and arguing I finally got her to date it. They said they sent everything to the address I had moved out of!!! I had given them a forwarding on everything, but they still sent it to the one they knew I was not in. When I told her that I did not live there she said it wasn’t her problem. They turned all 4 of us into collections because they sent it to an address they knew was not one we would get the work. They are all slumlords and are not a place for college students or anyone who cares about other people. If I could give negative stars I would, and I only had contact with them after my move.

This company filed a false report against me. I have all the paperwork showing that I was in complete compliance. I suggest nobody rent through these criminals. I have filed reports against them with the housing authority, and have contacted a lawyer regarding their illegal activities. This is not an angered review. This is a review warning any future renters.

I have been with DRC for 5 years and they have always been prompt at fixing any problems in my rental. They are a company I plan on doing business with until I decide to buy a home
