“Absolutely magnificent place, the two-bedroom apartment we had was extremely strong built with rock solid walls and floors, no hint of noise from anywhere. Loved the room darkening shades in the bedroom. Great kitchen with EVERYTHING including cookie sheet, pizza pan, casserole dishes, along with all the usual stuff and they had some awesome cookware. I always bring my own frypan so I'm not dealing with scratched teflon, but they had a kind of nonstick that was awesome and better than mine. Over under washer dryer maybe the best machines I've ever used that got my clothes cleaner than at home or commercial, not kidding. Couch legit water repellent fabric, so spills wiped right up. Very strong deck with great barbeque. Downers - toilets rather old and hesitant, and we were invited to walk to the office for a plunger (which we had to keep using the whole week). Showers are the high pressure that scours your skin off your face and chest. Some in my family like that kind of thing apparently. Huge water heater but it did go cold for me once. I prefer a milder stream of water that can stay warm longer. There's a lack of design for strollers or luggage carts. No way to a level sidewalk to the elevator except squeezing between parked cars. (That was building 2)
Two doorknobs falling off in the kitchen, screws were too small for the knobs. I fixed it by folding strips of plastic candy wrapper over the threads. They're solid now :-)
Pool was great, loved everything about the pool area. Fantastic big well-designed hot tub and enjoyable large pool. They have floaties and swimmy diapers for sale. Downer, the lady who took our key card for the locker, when we were ready to leave shuffled through cards, "I think this one's yours" yeah, but it was not. Trip to the office for a new one. Better to give her your ID if she'll let you, so you can get the right one back.
Walking paths are just awesome, choices for everyone's ability. I did the 3 mi loop a couple times and that was really fun with only a few mild elevation changes and AMAZING scenery to look at, and nice houses to comment on. Nice wide open bathroom in the spa building. Only problem, one sidewalk leads nowhere, simply ends at the four way stop at the entrance with nowhere safe to walk except turn around and go back. No crosswalks, "yield to traffic" everywhere. Must not be too dangerous as there were four deer right there in the bushes, two of them lying down, that was cool.
Horsey rides were great. Overall we loved it and had a GREAT time!”
“Spent the weekend with my wife at the resort. We golfed and relaxed and ate and had a really nice visit. Morgan behind the bar was excellent, and so was Daniel, our server. I wish there would have been more vegetarian and or vegan options. It would have made the dining experience even better for my wife.
Rooms: Very clean. Big, lots of options for your stay. You can bring your own food and cook there. There is a fridge and stove and microwave and a BBQ on the deck. Most of the utensils you might need are there as well.
Nearby activities: Golf, equestrian, swimming, hiking, trail walking
Safety: I felt very safe while there. Nothing to be afraid of. Sidewalks and trails were clean.
Walkability: There are 8 miles of trails. Lots of folk were talking about how nice they were.
Food and drinks: Great food and drinks. There needs to be more vegan/vegetarian dishes.
Noteworthy details: It is absolutely beautiful. The sunrises are excellent and the sky at sunset is on fire. We walked from our room to the main building for drinks one night. So quiet and relaxing and safe.”

“Great location, friendly staff checked us in and later provided ice. The bed was comfy, very clean. New looking bathroom. The fridge was kind of noisy, but everything else was great. very large room with full kitchen!”
“Breakfast was average but Brenda kicks ass as we had some payment issues on check in and check out. She took care of everything. Other than that the place is very well worth the price.”

“As with all budget motels, I'm not expecting Hilton or Marriott quality, just a place to stay the night, however, A-1 Budget-Motel pleasantly surprised me! My room (127) was well cleaned, very large, and had a full kitchen without a stove! The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was clean and warm. I greatly appreciated the fact that the walls were decorated with various mirrors and paintings, which made such a large room quite nice to stay in.
Walkability: Very close to Oregon Tech campus, so most campus facilities are within walking distance.
Food & drinks: The hotel coffee was good, but they only had powdered creamer.
Jalepeño's Taco Shop less than a mile away has amazing food at great prices!
Noteworthy details: Huge rooms for the price!”

“I adore this place!
The front desk girl at check in was so welcoming and friendly! Helped us find good food in the area and brought us anything we needed!!!
10/10 recommend this place! We will be back!”
“Awesome for its price point. The room was perfectly clean and has a fridge + freezer. The complimentary breakfast was so great - they have a waffle maker, plus cereals, bagels, hot chocolate, yogurts (with low-cal options), sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, muffins, and spreads.
Early morning staff was very nice.
Can drive to a huge shopping center right across the main road.
My only problem was that the wifi didn't reach my room, but I fell asleep quickly, so it wasn't a big deal in the end.”
“It's affordable, clean and comfortable, with a decent breakfast, and a perfect location right off the highway near Pilot and Loves. As a traveller, I find it an ideal place to stop for the night.
Rooms: Simple, and clean”
“The couple that runs this place is absolutely amazing ?
They do absolutely everything to make you feel welcome!
Cute touches in the room like folding towels and toilet paper makes this place feel much higher quality than the Google ranking might indicate!
If you're here, and need a place to lay your head, come here first! And use the fancy hotel as a backup if this one is fully booked!”
