I rented a car from Budget in Klamath Falls. The experience was good until the end. No one is at the airport, practically ever. So, you need to drop off the car and keys. That's no problem unless you want a receipt - which I do. There is no way to leave a message on their local number, as it transfers 100% of the time to the national office. When calling the national office they have zero record of this car being rented, despite the fact I have had the car for a week. If you ask the national office to reach out to the local office, that is not a possible task either. So, how does one get a receipt? Apparently, you don't get one.

Incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. Booked a car online, got a reservation number and confirmation, went to the Klamath Falls Airport Car Rental location only to work with a woman who, while was a nice human, really had no idea how to do her job what so ever. After 15 minutes she told me that they had no more cars available regardless of the fact I had a confirmation and itinerary number. I waited at the airport for over an hour for a ride - no other rental car option is open on Sunday. During my time there 2 more parties came with the intent to rent a car; shortly after I was denied my car I watched the Avis/Budget woman leave the airport (I assumed she would return at some point), she never came back. Literally, she just left her job and never came back! I had to tell two other people about my experience and together express frustration about how no one was even in there to tell them the situation...

Way over priced for the options they had! We will not be doing business with them. 😞

I love these guys! My neurologist is based in Medford, and every time I need to rent a car to go over there, they help out. Sometimes my appointments are early, so they make exceptions about drop off times, so I don't have to pay for more than one day! Thank you so much budget!

My wife reserved and paid for a van about a week and a half ago to be picked up on 3/26/18. This is the week of Spring Break making it very difficult to get a rental. Today, on 3/25/18 at about 10:00, my wife got a message that simply stated they had no van for tomorrow. When she called our local Budget company her call was forwarded to a national number. My wife was then told to go to another Budget. (HWY 140 is snowed in). My wife called our local Enterprise who didn't have a van but the had an SUV. Hopefully that will work. Budget can't refund the money immediately which was paid in advance for the van. Refunds take about 5 to 7 days. The local office also can't immediately refund. So Budget keeps, in this case $266 for 5 to 7 days for a vehicle they could not provide. The Enterprise SUV costs about $200 more than the unavailable Budget van. Budget says they will pay the difference but it must be a like vehicle. But there are no like vehicles locally available. This last moment cancellation has happened happened 3 times before. Our patience has ended.

I'm a Fastbreak member and use Budget exclusively. Two weeks ago I reserved a minivan for a 9AM pickup. I spoke to the agent the night before to verify the reservation and was told everything was in order for tomorrow. When I arrived the car wasn't there. It arrived at 9:45AM from Medford. I reserved a minivan and was willing to pay the inflated price for it. Right before pickup I was sheepishly told that it was a Chevy Traverse. A crossover SUV, not a minivan for our weeklong road trip. The counter lady said there was nothing she could do and that "I should be glad I even got a car as it's a busy air show weekend. The counter agent couldn't change the price to the lower price for me. They should have let me know the night before they didn't actually have a minivan. They could have called me to let me know they were going to be late that morning and they could have let me know they didn't have the right type of car and proactively offered the price difference refund. Overall, I feel like this particular office and probably Medford, OR isn't well run and has customer service issues. I understand things happen, but no one tried to "make it right" On a positive note - the Chevy Traverse they gave us has a third row and enough seats/ storage for our needs - so it could have been much worse, but I still feel a little mislead and the situation could have been handled better. This two stars instead of 1. I'll probably try a competitor next time I rent here and see how they do.

I will never use Budget again. I've used them twice with problems each time. The first time I went to rent a car and I called the location and asked them if there was a deposit needed for renting a car, to which I go the answer of "no, you've prepaid so that's all you need"...I go to pick the car up and guess what $100 deposit, and they wouldn't take my debit card. so back to my house to pick up a credit card. The second time I rent a car and decided I needed the car for an extra day. I called, explained the situation and was told that I would be charged for the same price I rented the car, and the owner would waive the $10 extension fee. Well, I get there and drop the car off and guess what?! They're trying to charge me an additional $57...I did happen to get it down to the original rental price but the $10 was NOT waived and I just bit the bullet on that. I gave 2 stars because the communication is awful between the staff members and the owner did refund me a small amount of money from the $57.

They were not well prepared to rent a truck for moving even though they offer that service. I had to get a bigger truck than I wanted and it was filthy with spilled coffee and dog hair on the passenger seat. The inside of the windshield looked liked it was never cleaned and it had a big crack running from the passenger side to the middle. (I think that's illegal to drive like that.) Go to U-Haul instead. With the extra money.

DO NOT RENT HERE. We rented a 24 foot truck, it had a leak that required us to wrap our couch in a tarp to keep it from being destroyed. After getting on the road it got dark and we discovered the headlights were dim and not aimed making them basically unusable. When we returned the truck they said the pickup location was responsible, when we called them they said they weren't responsible. After multiple calls to "customer service" they would only refund 10%. We had already scheduled another truck from the same location to complete our move a few days later, when we got there we were told they had no truck of any size any where, they didn't offer any help or compensation. GO TO U-HAUL!
